DENVER – The man accused of shooting and killing three people at a Thornton, Colorado Walmart on Wednesday night will likely learn if prosecutors will seek the death penalty against him Monday afternoon.Scott Allen Ostrem, 47, made his first court appearance Friday morning in Adams County. DEER SPRINGS (CNS) - A motorist died Saturday in a traffic accident near Old Highway 395 and Interstate 15 in the Deer Springs area, authorities said.The crash happened at 4:36 p.m. when a vehicle went over the side of the road at the Old Highway 395 off-ramp near the northbound 15, named the Avocado Highway along that stretch of roadway, according to Thomas Shoots of Cal Fire.The California Highway Patrol and North County Fire were called to the scene along with Cal Fire, Shoots said.The motorist was pronounced dead at the scene. Maxine Waters of California was the intended recipient of a suspicious package intercepted at a congressional mail sorting facility outside Washington, according to two sources.Later on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Explosives, Ginger Colbrun, said a second package addressed to Waters had been found at a postal facility in south central Los Angeles. Colbrun told CNN the package matches the description of those sent to CNN and Democratic political figures. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says Google is using its “monopolistic power” to control the pricing on online advertisements, fixing the market in its favor and eliminating its competition. Google is calling the suit “meritless” and says the price of online advertising has fallen over the last decade.
