UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- China is ready to further enhance cooperation with Denmark on major global issues like climate change and Arctic scientific exploration, Chinese President Xi Jinping said here Monday while meeting with Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen.
"The summit provides an opportunity for local leaders to exchange their experience of practice and learn from each other," Xie Zhenhua, Chinese special representative on climate change issues, said at a press conference after the opening ceremony.
The 69-member delegation will attend a grand celebration on Oct. 1.
While Sherlock, Downton Abbey and James Bond have enchanted many Chinese, British museums and leisure attractions are taking their first steps into the Chinese market. The Victoria and Albert Museum has joined the construction of a new design museum in Shenzhen, China, and Merlin Entertainments is planning theme parks across China.
According to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, Xi's visit will see a number of deals signed between governments, financial institutions and enterprises in fields ranging from finance, real estate, energy to medicine and automobiles.
