A Facebook selfie snapped Sunday featuring members of the Gainesville, Florida Police Department drew quite a response from admirers across the United States. The selfie, which has drawn nearly 170,000 comments and more than 100,000 shares, reportedly made the chief of the department "blush." Gainesville Police also requested people not call 911, requesting the trio to respond to their "incident."The three officers, who many consider "attractive" and "hot," were responding to Hurricane Irma incidents on Sunday. "Hello officer handsome! Sorry, i know you're out there helping but who doesn't like a cute first responder," Shari Dixon commented. Unfortunately for those interested, two of the three officers pictured are married. But the good news: Gainesville Police agreed to create a calendar featuring its officers. A judge ruled Tuesday the City of Omaha must release a video showing the death of a TV crewman during a shootout at Wendy's in 2014.Bryce Dion, a sound mixer on a shoot at a Wendy's in Omaha for the reality TV show "Cops," was shot and killed Aug. 26, 2014, after Omaha Police returned fire on a man who shot a pellet gun at officers. Officers were called to the restaurant on a report of a robbery.In the video, someone could be heard repeatedly asking, "Bryce, are you alright?" He can be seen slumped against a glass wall in the vestibule of the restaurant.Dion was wearing a bulletproof vest, but was hit with a bullet under his armpit. The suspect, Cortez Washington, who was using an airsoft pellet gun, was also killed.In 2016, Dion's brother, Trevor Dion, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the city, which had asked a Douglas County District judge to bar the release of the video, according to the Omaha World-Herald. The lawsuit says Dion was doing as instructed when he was hit by gunfire from an Omaha police officer.“Bryce positioned himself where told, when told, and acted in accord with police officer instructions. The perpetrator drew what appeared to be a pistol, but proved to be a pellet gun that simulated discharge. Police responded with live rounds of ammunition. They shot and killed the perpetrator. As they did so, they also shot and killed Bryce who was positioned as directed between at least one police officer who arrived at the scene belatedly, other police officers, and the perpetrator.”Brian Jorde, Dion's attorney, says he plans to use the video and other evidence at trial. The proceedings are expected to begin sometime after July."There's approximately 20 bullet holes just near the area of where Mr. Dion was alone so there's a significant amount of gunfire that was exchanged," Jorde said. "We think the public deserves to know what happens when their taxpayer dollars are at work with the police and otherwise. A Euclid, Ohio man has been indicted on six counts of rape and numerous other charges after police believe he broke into a woman’s apartment and brutally beat and sexually assaulted her over the course of five hours.The victim’s daughter said her mother underwent a second surgery on Tuesday as doctors worked on reconstructing the broken bones in the woman’s face. The emotional wounds, however, will take years to heal — if at all, she said. Archie Leak, 52, has been indicted on six counts of rape, gross sexual imposition, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, assault, two counts of kidnapping, petty theft and tampering with evidence in connection with the March 29th incident.The victim’s family said Leak used a crowbar to gain entry into the woman’s apartment on E. 200th Street. Over the next several hours, Leak allegedly raped and beat the woman. He also reportedly stole some of the victim’s cash and food before leaving around 7:30 that morning, the victim’s family said.The victim then lay in the apartment for three more hours until a neighbor heard her cries for help.“She’s traumatized. Her life is not going to be the same, not at all,” the victim’s daughter said.The victim’s daughter did not want to be identified in an effort to protect her mother’s identity.The reported assault left the victim with several broken bones in her face, which lead to extensive swelling. Doctors spent several hours on Tuesday working to repair the damage. The victim’s daughter said doctors have given her mother a 25 percent chance of regaining her vision.“You can’t even open a can of pop around my mom now. She thinks it’s a gunshot. You can’t touch my mom’s arm. My mom is not the same,” the victim’s daughter said. “She was always very loving and wanting to hug, and now you can’t even touch her.”The victim’s daughter said Euclid police detectives used forensic evidence collected at the scene to quickly identify Leak as a suspect. Leak has an extensive criminal history dating back to 1989, including convictions for burglary. The victim’s daughter lauded the efforts of Euclid police, especially over the Easter holiday weekend.“We were worried about [delays] because it was a holiday. [Police said], ‘no, with this case we’re going through,’” the victim’s daughter said. “I was so thankful that Euclid PD was able to get him.”The victim’s daughter said her mother had only seen Leak once, but had never spoken to him. Her mother was always cautious and had lived at her apartment for more than a decade without any issues. Additionally, the daughter said she spoke to her mother the night before to check in on her.“For this to happen to somebody like her, it makes you think there’s no good people anymore,” the victim’s daughter said. “It doesn’t matter if you’re a good person because bad things, horrible things, will happen to you no matter what.”The victim has a long road to recovery and already faces mounting medical bills. The victim’s family has started a GoFundMe page in order to help cover some of the expected medical debt. As of Tuesday afternoon, more than 00 had been raised. 3161

A high-profile church pastor was charged with sexually assaulting two young sisters while he was in Murfreesboro, Tennessee for a religious conference.Florida pastor David Rowan was arrested there Tuesday. He's was indicted on rape, unlawful sexual contact and sexual battery by an authority figure.The arrest stemmed from an alleged incident here in Middle Tennessee back in 2014. Rowan was a guest speaker at a religious convention in Murfreesboro.Sex crimes detectives said he convinced the parents of two girls to let him take them to lunch. The family was seeking spiritual guidance from Rowan and trusted him.Police said he brought the 14 and 15-year-old sisters to a local hotel where he took advantage of the situation and molested them.Rowan is a well-known pastor in Milton, Florida, not far from Pensacola. He was held in the Santa Rosa County Jail before being brought back to Tennessee in the next two weeks to face charges.Scripps station WTVF in Nashville reached out to Faith Baptist Church in Florida. The staff there declined to comment.  1119
