WASHINGTON (AP) — Financial losses are mounting at the U.S. Postal Service during the coronavirus pandemic. The agency said Friday it lost .2 billion in the three months ending in June. Officials warn the losses could top billion over two years. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy calls the agency's financial position “dire.″ But he disputes reports his agency is slowing down mail and says it has “ample capacity to deliver all election mail securely and on time." VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - A man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl while she rode in an ambulance. The California Highway Patrol launched an investigation into the Feb. 21, 2017 incident involving 34-year-old David Carpio, a private ambulance company employee. The girl was being transported to Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside when Carpio assaulted her and asked for her Snapchat information to start a relationship with her, investigators said. A CHP investigator posing as the girl communicated with Carpio through social media and text messages over several months, during which time officials gained damaging information. Other alleged female victims also came forward with claims against Carpio, saying he had sexually assaulted them when he was their neighbor. One of the women was 16 years old at the time of the encounter. Carpio pleaded guilty to sexual assault charges and was sentenced Thursday for sexual penetration of a minor and sexual battery. 1022

(KGTV) -- Deputies are searching for a suspect they say stabbed someone in Vista early Sunday morning before fleeing the scene.According to deputies, the stabbing happened just after midnight on Flower Lane, a street located inside a condominium complex about half a mile north of State Route 78.The suspect was identified as Christena Potter and remained at large as of Sunday afternoon. The victim was survived and was taken to the hospital, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.Deputies didn’t specify whether or not Potter had a relationship with the victim. Deputies warned nearby law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for the suspect. 688
