UNIVERSITY CITY, Calif. (KGTV) - A car crashed into a veterinary clinic near La Jolla Friday night. No people or animals were injured when a car plowed into the building on Town Center Dr. at 9:30 p.m. San Diego Fire Department says the driver told them he accidentally drove into the the front of the Cote Animal Hospital. There was a staffer inside the vet hospital with animals when it happened. The 75-year-old male driver got out of the car himself and was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. 513

United Airlines said it's suspending a program that transports pets in cargo holds.It will stop accepting new reservations for its PetSafe program, though it will honor any reservations made through March 20, the airline said.Passengers can still carry small pets with them in carry-on luggage.The suspension comes as United reviews its pet transport policies, a process that should be completed by May 1, United said.United has experienced some major pet-traveling disasters recently. Last week, a small dog died after it was put in the overhead bin on a United flight. Two men were stabbed inside a Macy's store at the Mall of America in Minnesota just before closing Sunday night, the Star Tribune reports. The suspect was taken into custody following the incident. Police said it was an "interrupted theft" that led to the stabbings. According to police, the suspect waited until two men left the dressing room and then attempted to steal their belongings. The men interrupted the suspect, who pulled a knife and stabbed the victims. Other shoppers subdued the suspect until police arrived.The victims had non-life threatening injuries. 607

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced a boycott of American electronics Tuesday after US President Donald Trump's decision to hike tariffs on Turkish steel imports."Whatever we buy from abroad we are going to produce here in better quality and export it.
