(KGTV) - A 72-year-old man died Friday night after being struck by a semi-truck trailer. San Diego police say the man had pulled off the 905 freeway at La Media Dr. to fix a broken spark plug on his 1980 Honda motorcycle. He was working on the bike when the big rig exited the 905 onto La Media heading east. The driver missed the motorcyclist with the cab but clipped him with the back tires of the trailer, dragging the body for several feet according to investigators. The man was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the semi-truck stopped at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. Paleontologists have discovered a new species of dinosaur in Asia.The Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences says two “perfectly preserved” fossils were found in the Lujiatun Beds in the Liaoning Province of northeastern China.The intact fossils suggest that the burrowing dinosaurs were trapped by a volcanic eruption while resting at the bottom of their burrows, according to the institute. Some paleontologists believe the dinosaurs were victims of a gigantic volcanic eruption."These animals were quickly covered by fine sediment while they were still alive or just after their death," said paleontologist Pascal GodefroitThe institute says the Lujiatun Beds would have been a kind of Cretaceous “Pompeii.”Fittingly, the new species has been named Changmiania liaoningensis, with Changmian meaning “eternal sleep” in Chinese.Paleontologists estimate these newly discovered dinosaurs roamed the earth about 125 million years ago.The institute says they were small, herbivorous, bipedal dinosaurs, about 1.2 meters long. With very powerful hind legs and long, stiff tail, paleontologists believe they were particularly fast runners.“However, certain characteristics of the skeleton suggest that Changmiania could dig burrows, much like rabbits do today,” said Godefroit. “Its neck and forearms are very short but robust, its shoulder blades are characteristic of burrowing vertebrates and the top of its snout is shaped like a shovel. She even went as far as suggesting using a mask that covers the nose and mouth.Tam says you can also reduce your risk by monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms and not having sex if someone is experiencing those symptoms.Tam also suggests limiting alcohol and drug use, so you and your partner are able to make safe decisions.Additionally, you should be aware if you or your partner may be at higher risk for more severe outcomes of COVID-19. That includes people with underlying medical conditions, those with compromised immune systems, and people living with obesity.“Current evidence indicates there is a very low likelihood of contracting the novel coronavirus through semen or vaginal fluids,” said Tam. “However, even if the people involved do not have symptoms, sexual activity with new partners does increase your risk of getting or passing COVID-19 through close contact, like kissing. PHOENIX — The Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee have filed a new lawsuit in Arizona, claiming Maricopa County poll workers "incorrectly rejected votes" cast by in-person voters on Election Day.The lawsuit alleges when the voting machine detected an "overvote" on a ballot, the poll workers told in-person voters to "press a green button to override the error." This reportedly caused the machine to dismiss the voter's choices in the overvoted races, according to the Trump campaign. An overvote is when someone selects more than one option or candidate in a race.
