The sign reads: "If you choose not to wear a mask, we respectfully ask that you postpone your visit. We will be happy to debate the efficacy of masks with you when this is all over and you come in to sell your dead grandmother's clothes."Bingham said she has been overwhelmed by emails and phone calls she has been getting from people all around the world. People have even visited her Instagram store to place orders from other countries as their way to show support for her business."Nobody likes wearing a mask. This isn't fun. It is uncomfortable, especially here in Phoenix. It is hot, but it's literally the smallest gesture we can make," said Bingham.Bingham thanked the majority of her customers for wearing a mask, but said there were a few who wanted to fight back."They're like you know the masks don't work right? Or something about carbon dioxide retention, thinking that it's bad for you to wear the mask or that you look stupid wearing a mask," said Bingham. The store re-opened on June 1 and like many other businesses has been struggling during this pandemic, while thinking about their own safety and livelihood."Vintage clothing is definitely not an emergency. This is not a reason anybody needs to leave the house right now. It's not like I sell baby formula or eggs," said Bingham. It seems like her sassy and sarcastic mask mandate message has hit a nerve."People from across the country are calling to thank us," said Bingham. She has received messages from Europe and Asia."Somebody from Abu Dhabi even reached out to us yesterday and made a purchase from us," said Bingham. She played one of many voicemail messages she received, this one left by a woman thanking the business for taking their strong stance."More people need to be like you and maybe things will make a change. God bless you," said the woman who left the voicemail.Bingham said being young and healthy, she feels confident that someone like her would survive COVID-19, but she does not want to be a carrier."I can't put my employees and customers at risk," said Bingham, adding that in a small business with a small staff, an exposure could lead to the closure of her store."Some people are trying to make this some kind of a political statement but people are not dying along party lines," said Bingham. She said wearing a mask is a small sacrifice everyone should make. "It really is. If we can do this and get it under control, we can get back to normal ‘til there's a vaccine," said Bingham. This story originally reported by Sonu Wasu on abc15.com. 2540

The waivers decision was made in reaction to difficulties in recruiting, a retired Army psychiatrist who is an expert on waivers told the media outlet. The Army said there must be a clear, meritious reason for mental-health waivers to be considered. 254

The San Diego program is based on one in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Since the Albuquerque program launched in May 2015, 3,400 homeless people have removed 175,000 pounds of trash and cleaned 600 neighborhood blocks, and 365 participants were connected with employment services to find additional work. 299

The resentment among Coral Springs officials toward Broward County officials about what they perceived to be a dereliction of duty may have reached a boiling point at a vigil the night of February 15, where, in front of dozens of others, Coral Springs City Manager Mike Goodrum confronted Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel. A source familiar with the conversation tells CNN that Goodrum was upset that the Broward deputies had remained outside the school while kids inside could have been bleeding out, among other reasons. 525

The Russian Ambassador to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia, traded barbs?with US Ambassador Nikki Haley at a Security Council meeting on Monday, saying a US military response could have "grave repercussions.""Russia is being unpardonably threatened," Nebenzia told the meeting. "The tone with which this is being done is going beyond the threshold of what is acceptable, even during the Cold War."Haley said Russia, the strongest ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, was "covered in the blood of Syrian children.""History will record this as the moment when the Security Council either discharged its duty or demonstrated its utter and complete failure to protect the people of Syria," Haley said. "Either way, the United States will respond."The clock is now ticking on a US response to the attack, after Trump said on Monday that the US would act in 24 to 48 hours. In a series of blistering tweets on Sunday, Trump warned Russia, Iran and Syria of a "big price to pay" following the attack, slamming Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as an "animal."He was joined by other world leaders in condemning the suspected attack, including Turkish Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who earlier this year launched a military offensive against Kurdish groups in Afrin, northern Syria.Graphic footage shot by rescuers and activists show victims of the attack -- including children -- dead and injured, some ghostly white and foaming at the mouth in makeshift clinics. Others were found suffocated in their homes, according to first responders.CNN has not been able to independently verify the authenticity of the images. 1630
