KGTV - The Department of Fair Employment and Housing has filed a civil rights lawsuit on behalf of an Oceanside woman who says her life is threatened by the chemicals the North County Transit District uses for weeds.Judy Kane has multiple chemical sensitivities and says she has trouble breathing along with going outside anytime the NCTD sprays herbicides around the tracks near her house.“I call it shelter in place,” said Kane, “I cannot do my normal day to day activities.”Kane had a reasonable accommodation agreement made roughly 10 years ago via email with NCTD and the agency used to weed wack the four block row near her house instead of using chemicals.However, at the end of 2016 NCTD began spraying again, dissolving their agreement.The lawsuit is asking NCTD to stop using the chemicals in the area around Kane’s home and also pay Kane’s expenses from medical episodes which occurred after the spraying began.NCTD did not return 10News request for comment. 977

JetBlue says it plans to increase the number of seats it will fill on planes starting in December. That makes JetBlue the latest airline to retreat from blocking middle seats to give passengers more space because of the pandemic. A JetBlue spokesman said Thursday that the airline still plans to limit seating through the holidays but hasn't decided how many seats to leave empty. A statement on their website reads: "JetBlue is currently blocking the vast majority of middle seats on larger planes (and most aisle seats on smaller ones) for all flights through 12/1/20. We’ll continue to block seats and limit the number of travelers on JetBlue flights through the holiday season, in order to provide additional space between those not traveling together while helping families and others who are traveling together to sit together where possible."Southwest plans to end blocking middle seats on Dec. 1. Delta and Alaska Airlines say they will limit capacity on flights through Jan. 6, but will end the policy early next year. JAMUL, Calif. (KGTV) — Four people were arrested after a 14-year-old was caught smuggling crystal meth through an East County checkpoint.The boy had three bundles of methamphetamine strapped to his body underneath his clothing as he traveled through a State Route 94 checkpoint on Monday night, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. A border K9 patrol of the vehicle during questioning alerted agents to the narcotics.During questioning of the 14-year-old and three other people in the vehicle, a second inspection with K9s was performed. The agents says they found three backpacks in the rear of the vehicle, containing 49 plastic-wrapped packages. The backpacks contained about 50 pounds of methamphetamine.The driver, a 34-year-old U.S. citizen, was arrested along with a 16-year-old US citizen and two Mexican national ages 14 and 16. Border agents seized the vehicle and turned over the narcotics and individuals to officers with the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force.Since Oct. 1, 2019, San Diego Sector CBP says it has seized nearly 1,100 pounds of meth worth nearly .1 million on the street. 1135

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The Missouri House Minority Leader has filed a resolution that asks the special House committee to start the impeachment process against Republican Gov. Eric Greitens.Tuesday night, the Republican leadership of the Missouri House and Senate both called for Greitens to resign. In a joint statement, Speaker of the House Todd Richardson and others asked the governor to do the right thing and “step aside.” Shortly after that announcement Gov.
