A telltale facial expression and anxious elevator behavior — both jumped out as odd signs to body language expert Dr. Jack Brown that something was not right with Stephen Paddock."There's not any one thing that says 'this guy's a killer,' or 'whoops, this is an absolute call the police right now kind of behavior,'" said Dr. Brown. "But there are definitely anxiety tells and abnormal behavior to the point where it depends on your screening level."RELATED: Video shows Stephen Paddock's actions at Mandalay Bay before shootingMeaning how much attention was being paid by those watching Paddock's movements at Mandalay Bay, if anyone was watching the high roller as he came and went over days, gambling all night long and carting in load after load of luggage."He seemed like he really went out of his way to make it look casual," said Dr. Brown. "Take up the luggage not all at once - multiple trips - he really planned it out."So calculated, Brown said it was spooky.And a spooky demeanor is part of what he sees in one of Paddock's facial expressions."That center forehead going up, a little bit of a mouth smile, that's a person with low empathy and low sincerity and that's also got a very high correlation with sociopathic behavior."It's an expression we all make once in a while, but Brown said those who do it a lot raise red flags.  He blogs about the expression on the faces of convicted serial killers and foreign leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin.  Dr. Brown also noticed Paddock's elevator behavior."He's got his legs crossed and his center of gravity is way off," he said.He said that might not seem abnormal in the moment, but in hindsight it shows significant anxiety. In another video clip, Paddock's "got his hands in his pockets and he's doing this (rocking back and forth) at the elevator. That's significant for anxiety."And while the behavior itself isn't necessarily incriminating, Dr. Brown said it's all about the context."And that's particularly - the elevator thing was extremely out of context," he explained.Once inside the elevator, he noted how - multiple times - Paddock backs into the corner even though he's alone."And the corner he chose was the corner with the camera, such that the camera showed the top of his head and not his face," Dr. Brown said. "Even if there wasn't a camera, that's odd behavior. A principal at Education Alternatives in Bedford, Ohio is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student at the school, who was 17 at the time."He says the relationship started when they were upstairs in the gym alone, that she kissed him on the mouth," said Bedford Police Deputy Chief Rick Suts. "Since then, there had been numerous encounters in her van."The teenager told police that his relationship with Courtney Alfred continued for months.Police said the former student came to them last week. Suts said the school knew about the alleged relationship but after their own investigation said the allegations were not credible. Bedford police disagree."He's saying that he took video of them having sex and in that encounter, you see a tattoo. We got a search warrant to see her tattoo, that tattoo matches the one on the video," added Suts.Police said there were also text messages and that money was transferred from Alfred to the teenager. Police said the teen told them it was to keep him from telling her husband.Scripps station WEWS in Cleveland tried to contact Alfred at her home, but there was no answer. A van slammed into a crowd Saturday in an apparently deliberate act in the German city of Muenster, killing two people and leaving 20 others injured, officials said.The driver also shot and killed himself, a police spokeswoman said. The driver was a German citizen, said Herbert Reul, state minister for internal affairs in North Rhine-Westphalia state.Authorities are treating the incident as an attack. There is no known connection to radical Islam but investigators are still looking into the driver's background, Reul said.Police earlier said there were three deaths. Reul clarified later Saturday that the total included the attacker.Muenster police spokesman Andreas Bode said law enforcement is looking into witness reports that some people fled the attacker's van after the attack. A Tempe woman was arrested after her infant daughter ate mac and cheese with THC butter in it. Tempe police report that early Thursday morning, after receiving a report from the Arizona Department of Child Safety, they arrested 25-year-old Alaina Marie Limpert at her home.Police say on Tuesday, Limpert's 1-year-old daughter ate mac and cheese made with butter containing tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, which is the chemical in cannabis that gets you high. A witness reportedly told investigators that Limpert "laughed about the side effects the child experienced." Limpert later put the child in the cold water of the backyard pool to "shock" her, court documents said.Hospital officials later confirmed that they found THC in the infant's system. Inside the home, police report they found two marijuana grow tents, psilocybin mushrooms and many containers of hash oil with business cards attached to them. Limpert was arrested on one count of child abuse. 1000
