ESPN The Magazine is celebrating its 20th anniversary by releasing lists of the best teams and athletes of the last 20 years. Needless to say, there isn't a lot of San Diego on the list -- with the exception of a No. 4 ranking for NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson on the "Most Dominant Athletes" list. As it happens, my career in San Diego sports media began in 1998, so I thought I'd take it upon myself to come up with a list of the best San Diego teams of the past 20 years. On Sunday, May 19, 2019 at approximately 3 a.m. LVMPD officers working at EDC observed from a distance an adult male, later identified as Elliott, push a security officer to the ground. Two officers approached and placed Elliott into handcuffs while they investigated the incident. LAKESIDE, Calif. (KGTV) -- The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating what led to a shooting in Lakeside Monday evening. The shooting happened just before 6 p.m. near the off-ramp of State Route 67 and Winter Gardens Boulevard. Deputies and paramedics found the victim, a man in his 20s, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital. The shooter fled the scene in a white Chevrolet Impala. A detailed description of the suspect wasn’t available.
