BEIJING, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese agricultural official Saturday called for closer agricultural cooperation among China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) in Beijing.
China is ready to jointly host with the island countries the China-Pacific Island Countries Economic Development and Cooperation Forum in the second half of 2019, he said.
The meeting on Wednesday was the sixth annual meeting between the heads of government of the two countries. The fifth was held in Canberra in March 2017.
They also called for the legislation on the credibility in scientific research and stronger action against academic misconduct to create a better research environment and atmosphere.
The areas of cooperation also included the circular economy, smart city development, and ways to tackle climate change.
