Last Thursday, just past noon and eight minutes after Samantha Sanchez left her home on Olive Drive, she got an alert of noise near her door.When she got home, she saw her front door, busted and wide open."Felt violated. Disturbing," said Sanchez.A motion activated camera she had just installed to monitor her dog Harley - who suffers from epilepsy and is prone to frequent seizures - had captured part of what happened. On the video, the sounds of something being jammed into the door can be heard. Harley then starts to growl. The video stops and then skips 12 seconds. In the next images, Harley is seen sitting, staring at an open door. Sanchez believes the intruder never got inside because of her 30 lb. Harley is definitely the former."You can see how he would be mistaken for a bigger, more aggressive dog just by how loud he is," said Sanchez.Sanchez cant help but smile when she thinks about what greeted the burglar at the door."Harley is my hero. He saved us," said Sanchez.His actions unfolded even though he may have needed the saving. A fresh urine stain that day meant he likely had a seizure during or after the break-in. Neighbors tell 10News that a husband was arrested for shooting his wife and the two had a troubled history. A suspect in this case was arrested Saturday night by members of the San Diego Sheriff's Homicide Unit. Deputies report that he has been identified as fifty-seven-year-old Andrew Thomas Smith of Vista and he has been booked for murder at the Vista Detention Facility. He is being held without bail. The victim's family has been notified of her death. Deputies report that she has been positively identified as Jean Moore Smith, a fifty-nine-year-old resident of Vista and she was Andrew’s wife. (KGTV) - The parents of a two-year-old boy say they're still reliving the terrifying experience they faced in a store parking lot over the weekend.Peter Kopcak and his fiance Jennifer Lawson were backing out of the Costco parking lot on Hacienda Drive in Vista Saturday afternoon."I just seen out of the corner of my eye this guy running down between the two cars, and I didn't know what he was doing," said Kopcak.The couple said the guy tried to rip their toddler out of his car seat."He opened the car seat back door, reached in and grabbed my kid, she jumped out of the car, left it in reverse, I put it in park. I jumped out, he was trying to grab the carseat and, she pushed him and I just had to take him down," said Kopcak.Kopcak tackled the man to the ground."I took him to the ground and did what I had to do to subdue him, a bunch of people, an off duty officer pulled me off the guy and held him down told him to put his hands behind his back," said Kopcak.Sheriff's deputies arrested 37-year-old Adam Glavinic. He's facing charges of felony attempted kidnapping and being under the influence of a controlled substance."I thought he was going to take my kid and I wasn't about to let that happen, I'd do anything I could to stop him cause that's the worst nightmare, just having someone A, touch your kid, B, try to take your kid," said Kopcak.The couple was also upset to learn Glavinic was released from jail on a 0,000 bail Sunday."I couldn't stop crying when I found out, cause he will do this to someone else and who knows if it's a single mom or the husband isn't quick enough, and the guy takes off," said Lawson."I don't understand how he got out so fast. What if he tries to grab another kid or hurt someone else? It boggles my mind," said Kopcak.There's a backlog of out of custody cases due to the pandemic. VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) — A Vista bike shop owner is fed up after his shop was broken into for the third time in six months.Early Sunday morning, Jesse McCormack got a call from his security company. The person on the phone notified him that thieves had gotten into his shop, 211 Bikes, again.“I woke up in an immediate panic,” McCormack said.This month, he was supposed to be celebrating his one year anniversary at the location. Instead, he is filing yet another police report.The surveillance video shows a man wearing a hoodie and shorts ransacking the shop, snipping cable locks, and running out.The man captured on the security video took a 2017 MASI Volare worth ,199, a MASI Vivo Uno worth ,999, a Haro Shredder 12" worth 0, a rack of sunglasses worth ,000, and several important files.The first time 211 Bikes was the target of a crime was last October, just six months after opening. No one was arrested for the crime. “It was a wake-up call,” McCormack recalled.The second break-in was on December 10, 2017. Five rare road bikes, along with other equipment, were stolen. “There’s some nights that I don’t really want to go home,” McCormack sighed. “I just feel like I need to stay the night here, and just keep an eye on things.”In the last six months, McCormack has lost at least ,000. He and his landlord have put up new security cameras, LED lights, locked up the bikes, even changed the dead bolts.When one of the stolen bikes was listed on online sale app, he even worked with detectives to arrest the seller. They sent McCormack a photo of a man, riding a rare and expensive road bike in San Marcos —The exact one that was stolen from his shop in December.He immediately noticed that the leg tattoo on this rider was very similar, if not a match, to the tattoos on the man captured on Sunday morning’s surveillance video.“He matches the description I have of the prior incident,” McCormack said.This could be a break, he said, hoping that somebody recognizes the man, and turns him into the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.“Action needs to be taken,” McCormack said. “We need to have the ability to feel safe, in order to conduct business, especially as a small and vulnerable business owner, who is operating on a shoe string budget."McCormack is now working with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, asking for increased patrols in the area.He thought about changing locations. (CNS) - A suspected unlicensed and intoxicated driver who allegedly struck and killed a Fallbrook woman while she was walking with her husband, then fled the scene and sold the involved vehicle, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges that include gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.Pascual Cristobal Pascual, 34, of Fallbrook, is accused in the Dec. 10 death of 60-year-old Symone Conley, who was struck by a pickup truck that veered out of a traffic lane on Gird Road near Laketree Drive and jumped a curb, according to the California Highway Patrol.Conley died at the scene.Following the deadly impact, the motorist pulled over and remained in the area for a short time before driving off, the CHP reported.Deputy District Attorney David Uyar said Pascual purchased alcohol about 15 minutes prior to the deadly crash and purchased more alcohol during the weekend following the crash.Pascual was arrested three days after Conley's death, but not before he allegedly sold the vehicle involved in the crash."Not only has he demonstrated his willingness to flee and evade justice, but also to attempt to destroy evidence in the process," Uyar said.Investigators identified Pascual as the alleged hit-and-run driver based on physical evidence at the scene of the traffic fatality, statements from the victim's husband and "numerous calls and leads," CHP public-affairs Officer Mark Latulippe said.At his arraignment, San Diego Superior Court Judge Amalia L.
