IRVINE, Calif. (KGTV) -- The fast-moving Silverado Fire is threatening several homes in the Santiago Canyon area near Irvine forcing the evacuation of 60,000 residents Monday morning. The blaze erupted just after 6:45 a.m. in the area of Santiago Canyon and Silverado Canyon roads, and within an hour consumed about 50 acres. In a press conference just after 4 p.m. Monday, fire officials said the fire grew to 7,200 acres with 0% containment.Crews are battling flames and smoke amid strong wind gusts reaching up to 70 mph. The region is under a large plume of smoke creating unhealthy air quality prompting warnings to residents to stay indoors and limit outdoor activity. Five Cal Fire San Diego engines left to help fight the fire Monday morning, contributing to the 500 personnel fighting the blaze.Approximately 20,000 homes evacuated, Orange County Fire officials said.Mandatory evacuation orders were issued for the Orchard Hills community north of Irvine Boulevard from Bake Parkway to Jamboree Road. INDIANAPOLIS -- Members of a neighborhood on Indianapolis' northwest side are asking police to do something about a woman caught on camera attacking neighbors with a yard sign and threatening their lives.The woman was seen on video pulling signs out of Miguel Rios and Luvia Roman's yard and saying she'll kill them, all over a property line dispute on Twin Creeks Drive, just north of Northwestway Park.Neighbors say the woman has a history of harassing minority neighbors. Corey Banks, a neighbor from across the street, said he's been called the N-word multiple times by her. Rios and Roman bought the house next door to the woman about a year and a half ago. They say the woman has called the health department, narcotics and child protective services in an effort to get them to move."I'm scared for my life," Rios said. It turns out that wireless internet home surveillance systems aren't just about security - they're also about selling homes at the highest price.A new scientific poll from NerdWallet says 15 percent of homeowners use their home security systems to view people looking at their homes. It was not the graduation ceremony Sarahi Avalos thought she would experience when she started high school -- but this celebration it is one she and her fellow graduates have earned a thousand times over.“Unbelievable. I thought I’d never make it,” Avalos said.She is fighting cancer, and her treatments have been so intense that she was not able to attend class at school. Avalos had to finish her classes from Diamond Children’s Medical Center at Banner UMC.  Avalos is one of five teens honored in a ceremony inside the hospital Thursday.
