Friday night he stayed at a friend's house but said he's not sure what's left of his Lofts at 160 home."About 5:30 or so I heard some gunshots - it sounded like four or five, maybe six gunshots. I looked out the window and didn't see anything," said McCoy. That's when he went back to bed, a decision he believes saved his life."Within maybe ten minutes of that a huge explosion, which completely ripped the walls apart of my house, stuff was coming down on me, there was dust everywhere," McCoy said.He got out of bed to find his face and hands bleeding from broken glass and debris. "You know I was looking out the window just ten minutes before the whole explosion, so if I had picked that moment where it exploded to be looking out the window, I feel very lucky on this Christmas to be here. It was that close," he said.McCoy managed to capture cell phone video immediately after the blast as people desperately looked for safety. "I was really thinking that there was some kind of a war going on and that this could be something that I wouldn't get through, that I would not make it through," McCoy said.He eventually walked to a friend's house where he has been staying ever since. McCoy said at one point he did go back home to look for his cat but firemen sent him away. Moderna announced Thursday they have started giving teenagers their COVID-19 vaccine as part of their study on how the vaccine works in those under 18.Pfizer, the other vaccine maker with an emergency use request for their COVID-19 vaccine in adults before the FDA, started including teens in their trial in October.In the Moderna’s press release, they say the Phase 2/3 study of the mRNA vaccine is now underway and is being conducted on children between the ages of 12 and 18.“We are pleased to begin this Phase 2/3 study of mRNA-1273 in healthy adolescents in the U.S. Our goal is to generate data in the spring of 2021 that will support the use of mRNA-1273 in adolescents in advance of the 2021 school year,” said Stéphane Bancel, Chief Executive Officer of Moderna in a company statement. “We hope we will be able to provide a safe vaccine to provide protection to adolescents so they can return to school in a normal setting.”The Phase 2/3 study from Moderna is being done to test the safety and immunogenicity of the two-dose vaccine they submitted to the FDA for emergency use approval last month.They plan to enroll about 3,000 teenagers in the U.S. in the trial, with each receiving either a placebo or the vaccine in two doses, 28 days apart. 1262

(KGTV) -- A mother of three shown in a video being detained by Customs and Border Protection agents was released Tuesday on her own recognizance.Shortly after 9 p.m. Perla Morales-Luna and her daughters shared a tearful reunion. A judge said that Morales-Luna, 36, isn’t a danger to society or a flight risk. During the family's reunion, she did say "Thank you" to the press but had no further comment. The video showing Luna’s detention made rounds on social media earlier in March.
