SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A preliminary hearing was held Monday for a parolee accused of sexually assaulting an 88-year-old woman at a Hillcrest nursing home. Police say 49-year-old Lusean Arline was arrested November 4th in connection with the alleged October 27th sexual assault at the Balboa Nursing & Rehab Center on Fourth Ave.Prosecutors say Arline entered the nursing home, possibly through an unlocked door, around 3 that morning and was found completely nude on top of the victim in her bed. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A man was arrested after police say he stabbed his friend, then returned to watching a UFC fight.The stabbing happened on the 3000 block of Midway Drive around 9:15 p.m. Saturday. Police say the two friends took a Lyft from downtown to the Midway District when they got into a fight.After leaving the car, the pair’s argument became even more heated before the suspect, Paul McNett, 43, wrapped his arm around the victim’s neck and stabbed him in the front of his neck.RELATED: Man shot during road rage incident in Del CerroAfter the stabbing, McNett stayed at the restaurant to watch the UFC fight.The 55-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A heartbroken woman is making a plea for tips after hundreds of family heirlooms were stolen out of her Allied Gardens home.Last Friday afternoon, Mary Anne Madruga got a wrenching call from her husband."Just a moment of disbelief and shock. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A San Carlos woman's trip to the San Carlos library turned into nightmare after she was bitten by a dog.A large bruise and two puncture marks remain stamped on Tricia Erler's left thigh."I was in total shock," said Erler.On Tuesday afternoon, she had just finished a mind-and-body class inside the library, grabbed some magazines, and was headed into a lounge area to read."I was behind this woman's chair, and she got up abruptly and swung around in one movement ... she sort of fell into me, and I fell into the books. I felt a stabbing pain in my leg. I thought something had stabbed me from her backpack," said Erler.RELATED: Service dog or pet? You're bleeding and there are teeth marks on your leg," said Erler.Nearby, she saw what bit her: a leashed white dog, possibly an Australian Shepard, with black markings on its head. Next to the dog was the woman who had bumped into her. She was in her 20s or 30s with a stocky build. The woman walked out and never came back."I was upset and shaking. You would think you'd be totally safe in a public library," said Erler.Erler just received her second of four shots for a rabies regimen. Definitely feel dogs should be checked," said Erler.Under federal law, dog owners can be asked if the animal is a service dog, but can't be asked for documentation. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A local father is just a few days away from reuniting with his family who is in federal quarantine in Northern California at Travis Air Force Base. Ken Burnett's wife and two young children were visiting Wuhan, China when the coronavirous broke out. The city shut down and the three were stranded, unable to fly home. Their 14-day federal quarantine ends on Tuesday. Burnett plans on traveling to Northern California to reunite with his wife and kids so they can all travel back to San Diego together.
