UPDATE 2 p.m., Apr. 18: Lifeguards removed the shark advisory signs at Silver Strand.SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Lifeguards warned beachgoers in Silver Strand after several agencies spotted a shark they say could be a great white off the coast Wednesday. According to authorities, the shark was initially spotted by Border Patrol agents in a helicopter above Imperial Beach around 10:30 a.m. The shark was also spotted by a lifeguard in a boat approximately two miles off the coast of Imperial Beach. The shark was again seen about half a mile off the coast of Silver Strand, prompting lifeguards to warn beachgoers. Lifeguards chose not to issue a formal public warning because the shark was of moderate size, wasn't behaving aggressively and was in an area with few people nearby, City News Service reports. US Customs and Border Protection closed road and pedestrian bridges on Sunday at the San Ysidro port of entry, one of the largest land border crossings between San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico.Groups of Central American migrants have been converging on the Mexican border city for days in their quest to gain entry to the United States. But on Monday, riders were on the lookout for a pair of goats.According to the New York's Metro Transportation Authority, a pair of goats were spotted roaming subway tracks in Brooklyn on Monday morning.According to WNBC-TV, the goats were first spotted on N train tracks near Green-Wood Cemetery. Police and animal control responded to capture the two animals.The MTA originally said that the goats were not affecting service, but WNBC later reported that trains were rerouted to allow officials to capture the goats.The goats were reportedly tranquilized and taken to an animal shelter.In a tweet on Monday, the MTA called the two delinquent goats " very baaaaad boys."  792

United Airlines announced Wednesday plans to return 25,000 flights systemwide during the month of August in hopes that more people will resume traveling. Despite the massive number of flights being added to the schedule, United said that it will only run 40% of the number of flights it ran in 2019 in August.Domestically, United plans on adding 600 flights, meaning it will run 48% of its US flights in August. United projects that only 30% of US flights will fly in July compared to 2019."We're taking the same data-driven, realistic approach to growing our schedule as we did in drawing it down at the start of the pandemic," said Ankit Gupta, United's vice president of Domestic Network Planning. "Demand is coming back slowly and we're building in enough capacity to stay ahead of the number of people traveling. And we're adding in flights to places we know customers want to travel to, like outdoor recreation destinations where social distancing is easier but doing so in a way that's flexible and allows us to adjust should that demand change."On Tuesday, Delta announced the addition of 1,000 flights systemwide in July.
