"Steve Ritchie promises great things, and then bad things happen, and then he blames somebody else."Schnatter's lawyer Garland Kelley said the company allowed Schnatter's comments about the NFL and his use of the racial slur to be misrepresented in the press."There's a critical disconnect between what John actually says and how the company permits it to be portrayed publicly," Kelley said. Forbes said Schnatter was complaining that Sanders didn't receive backlash, even though his comments were worse than Schnatter's own. KFC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.After the Forbes story broke, Schnatter apologized and resigned as chairman.On Tuesday, he described the conversation differently."I simply said, 'Colonel Sanders said what he said, and we're not going to say that,'" he said, adding that he regrets saying the slur."What I said was anti-racist," he added. "I don't talk that way.""I think the company has made the situation a lot worse," Schnatter said. "[The comment has] been misquoted, it's out of context, it's been portrayed in a way that's not truthful. But I'm still going to feel bad about that.""I love my employees. "For anything that hurts them, then I'm going to feel bad about that, and I do."Schnatter also thinks his remarks about the NFL leadership have been misconstrued.Last year, some NFL players knelt during the National Anthem to protest treatment of black Americans, particularly by police. Police say a Texas woman was not happy when she caught her husband of 11 years looking at another woman, so she allegedly stabbed him after attending a festival in San Antonio, the Express News reports. Star Perez, 27, was arrested on charges of suspicion of aggravated assault following the incident Saturday night. Police claim that after the couple returned home from the festival, Perez confronted her husband about looking at the woman. That is when she allegedly stabbed the man in the right arm. Perez then fled after allegedly threatening to kill her husband. Her bond was set at ,000 on Monday.  645

Planned Parenthood is facing a social media backlash after one of its branches tweeted and then deleted a post suggesting Disney create a princess who'd had an abortion.Planned Parenthood Keystone, which operates in 37 Pennsylvania counties, tweeted on Tuesday that "We need a Disney Princess who's had an abortion. We need a Disney Princess who's pro-choice. We need a Disney princess who's an undocumented immigrant. We need a Disney Princess who's actually a union worker. We need a Disney Princess who's trans."The tweet plays off of a popular internet meme calling for more diverse Disney princesses.It didn't go over well."So glad #PlannedParenthood deleted their disgusting tweet, I don't really think having a Disney princess getting an abortion is appropriate for young girls..." said one woman Wednesday on Twitter. PINE VALLEY (KGTV) -  Nineteen people are in custody after the horse trailer they were traveling in crashed Saturday on Interstate 8, about 55 miles east of San Diego, Border Patrol said.The trailer, which was being pulled by a Ford F250 pickup truck, separated from the truck and overturned on its right side just before noon, according to the California Highway Patrol. Border Patrol agents said that the trailer was smuggling people into the country and all of the apprehended people identified as Mexican nationals. The driver of the truck managed to escape, according to Border Patrol.Six people were injured in the crash and two of them had to be airlifted to a hospital for treatment, Border Patrol told 10News.Witnesses said people ran out of the overturned horse trailer. Border Patrol agents took 19 people into custody and continued to look for others that may have fled on foot.   935

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A United States Postal Service worker discovered a massive snake Friday while delivering the mail in Overland Park, Kansas.It's unclear when the red tail boa constrictor slithered onto the home in the Pinehurst neighborhood."The biggest snake I've ever seen!
