(KGTV) — Ventura Police have arrested a suspect wanted for killing a 55-year-old man in the Midway District on Thanksgiving Day.Forrest Robert Brantley, 38, was taken into custody in Ventura, police announced Wednesday, one day after San Diego Police released his photo to the public.On Nov. 28, SDPD says they received a call about a man who was severely injured in the 3100 block of Sports Arena Boulevard. Officer arrived to find Robert Frank Erbe with severe trauma to his neck.RELATED: Police identify man killed in Midway District stabbingMan stabbed to death in Midway District shopping centerErbe was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died of his injuries. Police said he was a transient in the area.During the investigation, police learned that Brantley and Erbe got into some sort of fight inside the Midway District 7-Eleven location, ending with Erbe being stabbed to death in the neck.Brantley was described as wearing blue digital camouflage pants and a blue hospital surgical mask at the time of the stabbing. 1035

(KGTV) - Three San Diego residents were shot to death during a weekend of violence in Tijuana.Multiple Tijuana-based news services said a triple homicide was reported on the morning of Nov. 25 in front of a building in the Lomas Verdes housing complex. When the bodies were found, they each had gunshot wounds to the head.According to news outlet Punto Norte, investigators believe the three people killed were taken from an apartment at gunpoint, forced to kneel and then shot.10News spoke to 23-year-old Katheryn Garcia. She told us her cousin, 17-year-old Christopher Alexis Gomez was among the three people shot to death. Garcia said her cousin is a senior at O'Farrell Charter School (OCS) in Encanto. She said he was a proud starting Lineman for the school's new football team. Last week, Gomez told Garcia that he was going to a barbecue party in Ensenada on Friday with his friend, 18-year-old Juan Suarez Ojeda. Dr. Jonathan Dean, the Superintendent at OCS, told 10News Ojeda wasa recent O'Farrell Charter graduate, class of 2018. Garcia said she has never met the third victim, but knew the teen was Ojeda's friend who lived in Tijuana.Garcia said the three were tortured, likely in a different location, before being shot execution style.Garcia said her family are now left with more questions than answers. Why would Christopher, a boy who had never been in trouble, be killed? Was this a case of mistaken identity? Was he at the wrong place at the wrong time? Who would do this?“They’re monsters. Who does that to three young boys who had their whole life ahead of them," Garcia said in tears. A 13-year-old middle school student from Elkhorn, Nebraska was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of terroristic threats. According to a release, the student made non-specific threats on a national social media gaming website on Wednesday. After he was questioned Wednesday, he made similar non-specific threats again on Thursday on a different social media platform. The student was booked in the Douglas County Youth Center. Because of his age, his name was not released. Elkhorn Public Schools released a statement: "On Wednesday, law enforcement investigated an Elkhorn Valley View Middle School student regarding a nonspecific threat made on a national social media gaming website. Elkhorn Public Schools administration cooperated fully with local law enforcement throughout the investigation.  Elkhorn Public Schools takes all threats seriously, and in this situation, at no time did we feel students were in immediate danger. Parents of the student affected received an email on Wednesday afternoon, informing them of the situation." Captain Wayne Hudson with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said deputies will be patrolling schools more closely in upcoming days given the alleged threats. Hudson says law enforcement agencies across the nation are not taking any potential copycat shooting threats lightly and encourage people to report any suspicious activity. "The whole thing of, if you hear something, say something — we need that information. As we saw in Florida, it seems several kids had information," Hudson said. "They knew this individual had made certain comments and certain threats — especially kids.
