REAL ID cardholders who presented only one residency document when they applied must confirm their address by mail, DMV officials say. The DMV sent 3.6 million letters to cardholders, asking them to verify their mailing address and return the letter to the agency. Anyone who lost or did not receive a letter by Aug. 15 can request one through an online form, DMV officials say. Starting Oct. 1, 2020, all travelers must present a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or other TSA-approved identification, such as a passport or military ID, to fly within the United States. 736

(KGTV) — Two people killed in a Christmas Eve. crash on State Route 78 in Ramona have been identified by San Diego's medical examiner.Christian Diaz, a minor, and Gonzalo Rodriguez, 44, died Monday in collided head-on collision on SR-78 near W. Haverford Road just after 11 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol.The county medical examiner said Rodriguez was driving westbound on SR-78 when he lost control of the Toyota Camry he was driving and crossed into the oncoming lane, colliding with the truck. Diaz was pronounced dead at the scene.RELATED: CHP: Child killed in head-on collision on SR-78 in RamonaRodriguez was taken to Palomar Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.Two other occupants of the Camry — a woman and another young boy — and the 77-year-old driver of the pickup truck were taken to nearby hospitals with injuries of unknown severity, according to CHP. A 22-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, man has been charged in the shooting death of 4-year-old LeGend Taliferro, the Jackson County prosecutor announced Thursday. During an afternoon press conference, authorities announced that Ryson B. Ellis, 22, has been charged with LeGend's murder. He faces one count each of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action.Ellis was arrested shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday and booked in the Tulsa County Jail in Oklahoma.A woman who was in the apartment at the time of the shooting, identified in a KCPD probable cause statement as the sister of LeGend's father, told police she had a child with Ellis, who she alleged had assaulted her a few days before the deadly shooting.After that incident, which didn't involve LeGend, the woman's brothers, including LeGend's father, confronted Ellis at his residence, where an altercation ensued.The woman also told KCPD investigators that she received threatened messages from Ellis through social media after Legend's murder.LeGend's family was on hand at a press conference to announce the charges.Charron Powell, LeGend’s mother, said that she is “grateful that we are in the steps to justice,” but also expressed remorse for her son’s suspected killer and the culture of violence in Kansas City.“This is a lose situation, for my family, and including his,” Powell said of Ellis. “We have to take it a step farther and calm the violence down.” BREAKING: 22-year-old Ryson B.
