ANCHORAGE, Alaska – President Donald Trump is projected to win the state of Alaska, according to The Associated Press.Winning the state gives Trump three additional electoral votes, bringing him to a total of 217, still far behind Joe Biden.The AP still projects Biden will win the presidency, since he is on track to finish with at least 290 electoral votes. A candidate needs 270 to win.With the contest in Alaska called, the only two states that remain up in the air in the presidential race are Georgia and North Carolina, based on AP projections. Regardless of which way they sway, it likely won’t alter who takes the White House.Along with the presidency being called, the AP also projects that Alaska’s Republican senator, Dan Sullivan, will win reelection to the U.S. Senate.Sullivan's win brings to the GOP to 50 seats in the Senate, while the Democrats have 48. The Senate majority will all come down to who wins the two runoff races in Georgia. An intoxicated Mansfield woman was arrested on Saturday after making lewd comments to the Easter Bunny.Ladonna Hughett, 54, was arrested at Richland Carrousel Park in Mansfield, Ohio.Witnesses told police the woman made several lewd comments while taking a photograph with the Easter Bunny and appeared to be intoxicated. Afterward, Hughett went for a ride on the carrousel.Police said Hughett appeared to be under the influence when they arrived. She was charged with drunkenness and taken to Richland County Jail. No word on the toll all this egg-citement took on the Easter Bunny. 641

Arizona officials have certified Joe Biden’s narrow victory over President Donald Trump in the state.Democratic Secretary of State Katie Hobbs and Republican Gov. Doug Ducey defended the integrity of the election even as lawyers for Trump were across town Monday arguing, without evidence, to nine Republican lawmakers that the election was marred by fraud.Lawsuits and legal action taken by the Trump campaign did not go far in Arizona, in at least one instance, the lawyers dropped a case seeking a recount of Election Day ballots. At Monday's certification event, Ducey said, “We do elections well here in Arizona. The system is strong.”Biden won Arizona by 0.3% of the nearly 3.4 million ballots cast, a margin of just under 10,500 votes. He’s the second Democrat in 70 years to win the state. Arizona's 11 electoral college votes will go to Biden.The certification also paves the way for Democrat Mark Kelly to take his seat in the U.S. Senate, formalizing his victory in a special election to replace the late John McCain.Kelly is scheduled to be sworn in on Wednesday in Washington. 1097

An investigation has gotten underway after a search warrant was executed at a Bellevue, Tennessee PetSmart store. The location was raided after the Metro Health Department and Metro Animal Care and Control received information, photos and video detailing an alleged “lack of care” for animals at the store.  Local police served the search warrant Thursday morning.According to PETA, two guinea pigs and a mouse were taken from the store. Amnesty International awarded Colin Kaepernick its Ambassador of Conscience Award on Saturday for his public protest against racial and social injustice."The Ambassador of Conscience award celebrates the spirit of activism and exceptional courage, as embodied by Colin Kaepernick," Salil Shetty, the human rights group's secretary-general, said in a statement. "He is an athlete who is now widely recognized for his activism because of his refusal to ignore or accept racial discrimination."The award is Amnesty International's highest honor, according to its website.
