SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- SeaWorld San Diego was closed for the day on Tuesday as rain drenched most of San Diego County. Park officials issued a statement on Monday to announce the March 10 closure due to “possible periods of significant rain and high winds.”Park officials say they anticipate opening again on Wednesday, March 11. According to the National Weather Service, coastal areas around SeaWorld could get as much as an inch of rain from Monday night through Wednesday morning. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego teachers took to short-term rentals to subsidize their annual salary last year, raking in .7 million, according to Airbnb.The recent study by the short-term rental website says about 15 percent of San Diego's Airbnb community is made up of teachers. Annually, those teachers typically host about 56 nights a year.While San Diego's teaching community made more than million over the course of 2017, the bulk of those earnings came during the summer months. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego's museums received a glimmer of hope following the reveal of California's new guidance.That's because San Diego County was placed in the second tier, "substantial." Now, several businesses will have to opportunity to reopen, as they did in June, with modifications indoors.The San Diego Air and Space Museum announced it plans to reopen on Monday. When the museum reopened in June, staff implemented safety policies including capacity limits, social distancing, facemasks for guests and employees, hand sanitizer stations, and continuous cleaning.
