SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A local woman says a recent shopping trip turned into a nightmare, in the form of a sexual assault inside a 99 cent store in Clairemont.Around 7 p.m. on Thursday, inside a nearly empty 99 Cents Only store at Clairemont Town Square, Sarah was 30 minutes into a shopping trip. She recalls seeing the same man, as she walked through three different aisles."I didn't think anything of it. Just thought he was shopping for the same items," said Sarah.When Sarah bent down to get some poster board from a shelf, he attacked."He came from behind and forcefully shoved my shoulders into a seated position into his lap, and he had an erect groin," said Sarah.Sarah says she quickly got away from the man, who was fully clothed."I was shocked and gasped. Stood up and turned around, and he backed up. He said, 'Oh, sorry, I thought you were somebody I knew,'" said Sarah.Sarah describes the man as a thin, dark-haired man in his 20s, wearing a black mask and blue-and-white, checkered cap. She raced to find a store employee."I could see he was still stalking me. He was still peeking his head around the corner. When he saw me talking to an employee, he took off," said Sarah.She called the police and waited outside the front door to get a photo of him, but he never appeared. He likely got out a side door."I feel very violated. Just very violating," said Sarah.A day later, there is a growing fear and anxiety. After she posted details on the Nextdoor site, neighbors reported four recent and similar incidents at grocery and drug stores, all involving a man with a similar suspect description. Police tell us they're looking into a possible link to other cases."It's very scary he could potentially be doing this to women while they're shopping," said Sarah.Sarah is worried about what the man may do next."He's very brazen. I'm fearful he might up his ante and rape somebody," said Sarah.Sarah says the store manager confirmed there is an in-store video that will be given to the police. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A Malayasian national faces voyeurism charges after a video camera was discovered in the bathroom of a San Diego flight last May.Choon Ping Lee was arrested this week and charged with video voyeurism within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States, ABC-affiliate KTRK reported.Court documents revealed on May 5, a passenger on United Airlines flight 646 from San Diego to Houston discovered a blue light flashing in a first-class bathroom. The woman took the device to the flight crew, who in turn brought it to officials at George Bush International Airport.Security at the airport confirmed the device was a video recording device, KTRK reported. Officials reviewed the device's footage to discover it recorded a man installing it in the bathroom, documents say. Airport surveillance connected the man's clothing with footage of him boarding the plane on departure and leaving when it arrived in Texas.Investigators said they also found footage on the device from another flight, where at least two women were captured on camera aboard an Emirates flight.Lee also works for Halliburton, which provided FBI investigators with Lee's travel itinerary and footage of him wearing the same jewelry as seen in surveillance video as well, documents revealed.The company issued a statement to KTRK, reading: "Halliburton is aware of the situation and is cooperating with the FBI and U.S. Attorney's office in their investigation. We have a robust Code of Business Conduct and expect every employee to abide by the standards contained in the Code and all applicable laws."If convicted, Lee could spend up to a year in prison, face a fine, or both. 1696

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A person is back in ICE custody and in isolation after they were taken to Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center to be evaluated for possible coronavirus symptoms.The individual was in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement when officials determined the person needed to be taken to Sharp Chula Vista, the county said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A man suspected of shooting another man during an altercation on a trolley in downtown San Diego was taken into custody, San Diego police said.At around 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the trolley station in the 1200 block of Imperial Avenue after a 35-year-old man was shot in the leg.According to police, the victim was struck by gunfire during in a verbal altercation with another man while both were riding a trolley train. Police said the victim was able to tackle the suspect, and other trolley passengers helped get the gun away from the suspected shooter.The suspected shooter fled the scene following the incident.ABC 10News learned the victim was rushed to the hospital and is expected to survive.About 90 minutes after the shooting was reported, officers spotted the man believed to be linked to the incident near Logan Avenue and Beardsley Street and then detained him.The suspect was later identified as 18-year-old Salvador Sanchez Cantero.A motive for the altercation is unclear; the shooting is under investigation. 1072

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A local woman is suing the Greyhound bus company after an unscheduled stop allowed border agents to come on the bus and question the citizenship of passengers. Rocio Cordova was traveling from San Diego to Phoenix in November 2017 when her bus was stopped.Her lawyer, Darren Robbins, tells 10News, “Well this practice was brought to our attention and our client was one of the people subjected to these warrantless searches conducted without probable cause.”RELATED: 'Minutemen' wants troops at border gaps near CampoHe continued to say these immigration raids have been happening on multiple different Greyhound buses. Cordova is accusing Greyhound of violating state consumer protection laws by allegedly consenting to racial profiling by law enforcement officers. Cordova is a United States citizen, however, watched people on the bus around her questioned based on their race, according to her lawyer, “it is highly invasive and inappropriate to facilitate such action of law enforcement officials against its own passengers”. The complaint was served to Greyhound on Friday.Robbins is now waiting for their response, “the best response would be they'll refrain from any additional illegal behavior and stop allowing this kind of warrantless searches to take place on greyhound facilities or Greyhound buses,” he tells 10News.  1388
