(KGTV) — San Diego Sheriff's deputies alerted residents of Jacumba Hot Springs and Boulevard on Thursday of the placement of a sexually violent predator.Joseph Blockett, 76, will be released at 45612 Old Highway 80 in Jacumba Hot Springs on or before Dec. 1, 2020, according to the Sheriff's Department. A 12-year-old girl who is battling leukemia has a special request for her birthday.Aspen Kelly can’t travel, so she is asking for postcards from around the U.S. and the world.Her mom says she has received more than 1,000 postcards so far. (KGTV) -- Video shows the suspected Holy Fire arsonist talking to firefighters before being arrested.51-year-old Forrest Gordon Clark was arrested by sheriff’s deputies and booked into the Orange County Jail Wednesday.In the video, Clark can be seen speaking with firefighters and accusing them of stealing his money. Clark was booked on two counts of felony arson, one count of felony threat to terrorize and one count of misdemeanor resisting arrest.RELATED: Suspect linked to wildfire in Cleveland National Forest arrested in Orange CountyClark is being held on million bail. (KGTV) — Voter registration has reached an all-time high in California ahead of November's midterm elections, according to newly released state data.A record 19,696,371 Californians were registered to vote as of Oct. 22, an increase of 1,892,548 registered voters since 2014, Secretary of State Alex Padilla's office says.That means about 78.16 percent of Californians are eligible to vote, the state's highest level since the state's 1950 gubernatorial election.YOUR VOICE YOUR VOTE ELECTION COVERAGE"It is nearly unprecedented for California to set a voter registration record in a midterm election," Padilla said in a release. "It has been nearly 70 years since we’ve seen a higher percentage of eligible citizens registered to vote for a midterm election."Figures from the state show the Democratic Party continues to hold the most registered voters with 8,557,427 voters, an increase since 2014.
