(KGTV) -- Police in Chula Vista say an 8-year-old boy who went missing from Heritage Elementary School was found safe Wednesday afternoon. Police have yet to say where exactly the boy was found or when he went missing. A San Diego Police Department Helicopter could be seen in the Otay Ranch area searching for the young boy. 368

Christiane Amanpour will officially replace Charlie Rose on PBS stations across the country.The move was made official at the public broadcaster's annual meeting on Tuesday. It has been in the works for five months, ever since PBS stations began replaying Amanpour's CNN International program.Those half-hour Amanpour rebroadcasts were an interim replacement for Rose's 11 p.m. talk show, which was cancelled last November after women came forward to accuse him of sexual harassment and misconduct.Now Amanpour is expanding to an hour, like Rose's show used to be. The show will have a new name, "Amanpour & Company," and a stable of regular contributors. The changes will take effect in July."I'm delighted to expand my role at PBS from interim to permanent along with this remarkable diversity of voices and views," Amanpour said. "Never has the time for exploring our world and America's place in it been so urgent."Her statement also alluded to Rose's exit and the reason for it: "I am also thrilled to be a female filling this role at this time!"The expansion was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.Amanpour is CNN's chief international correspondent. Her weekday program "Amanpour" has been on CNN International since 2012. The expanded edition will continue to be shown on CNNI, which is primarily available outside the United States. The PBS deal will give her a bigger U.S. audience.The expanded program is being described as a "collaboration" between CNN and the powerhouse New York City public broadcaster WNET. The financial terms were not disclosed.Amanpour will continue to host mainly from CNN in London while four new contributors will join from a WNET studio in New York. CHULA VISTA (CNS) - A Chula Vista company that sells health and wellness products received a letter from the Federal Trade Commission Friday warning company representatives to halt alleged claims that its products could treat or prevent COVID-19.Youngevity International Inc. was issued a letter stating that claims made on the company's website or through social media posts "unlawfully advertise that certain products treat or prevent" coronavirus.The FTC alleges one such claim made by Youngevity "business opportunity participants or representatives" includes a statement that with certain company products, "your body will be able to withstand and eliminate Covid-19 and the vaccines forthcoming for Covid-19."The agency also states that a link on the company's website marked "FlattenTheCurve Shop Immune Support" redirects users to the company's online store, where various "immune support" products are available for sale.Phone calls made to the company were transferred to Youngevity CEO Stephen Wallach, whose voicemail mailbox was full Friday afternoon.The FTC's letter states that it is unlawful to advertise that a product can prevent, treat or cure human disease without scientific evidence or studies substantiating such claims, of which there are none for COVID-19 in relation to Youngevity's products.The letter to Youngevity was one of six sent to companies across the country on Friday. The FTC also sent a batch of nearly 100 letters last month to various companies allegedly claiming their products and therapies could treat or prevent COVID-19, including four based in San Diego: ActiveHerb Technology Inc., Aspire Regenerative Health, EcoShield, LLC and Forever Ozone. 1699

(KGTV) – A Chula Vista family came home to their house completely ransacked by burglars.“It was a total mess,” homeowner Eric Deas said. “It was like a hurricane came into my house.”Deas says he left for his aunt's house around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. When he got back around 3 p.m. he found that someone had tried to get into his backdoor, then smashed a window to get in.The thieves stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and electronics. But they also raided his fridge, drank his alcohol, and ate his food. They trashed his house, dousing his floors and furniture with booze.  Deas even found feces in the upstairs bathroom. "They didn't flush," he said.He also found a shoe in his aquarium.  About ten of his prized fish were dead.  He thinks the thieves dumped wine in the fish tank.“It looked like they had a good time,” he said.  “They had a party in my house. Unfortunately, it was a 'damage party.'”A neighbor’s security camera caught a white BMW park in the neighborhood. Then it appears of group of teens got out of the car and started walking towards Deas' house. The video was taken in the same time frame of the break-in. It was hard to make out faces or a license plate, but Deas thinks its video of the party bandits.The intruders also took something very sentimental from him.“My mom wrote me these handwritten notes. She passed away two years ago,” Deas said, “Things that sad, 'love you, ma.' It was personal.”Deas doesn't think he will get them back.“I call them punks; they don’t deserve to be people. CHULA VISTA (KGTV) - A former San Diego psychiatrist who reportedly had offices in Chula Vista, San Ysidro, Kearny Mesa and El Cajon pleaded guilty Monday to a felony charge of having sexual contact with seven female patients during office visits and a misdemeanor count of sexual battery for groping an eighth woman.Leon Fajerman, 75, will be ordered to serve 365 days in custody and be required to register as a sex offender at a sentencing hearing Jan. 18.Judge Francis Devaney will consider alternatives to actual jail time, according to Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Matzger, City News Service reported.REPORT: San Diego County psychiatrist charged with sexual battery, having sex with patientFajerman -- who has been a licensed physician in California since 1978 -- voluntarily surrendered his medical license in May, state records show.In September 2017, court records showed that Fajerman assaulted three female patients, including one who said he groped her breasts and buttocks, according to the Union-Tribune.The complaints were turned in to the Medical Board of California. Fajerman surrendered his medical license May 15, 2018.Fajerman received his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires and had been in practice for more than 20 years, according to US News. 1309
