LAKELAND, Fla. -- A 90-year-old Florida man who dressed in full protective gear to say goodbye to his wife, has died of COVID-19.In a Facebook post, Sam Reck's son-in-law shared the news that Sam has died.JoAnn Reck, Sam's wife of 30 years, died a few weeks earlier after battling COVID-19. She was 86 years old and Sam was 90.Sam Reck had been separated from his wife JoAnn Reck during the pandemic after the state placed a ban on visitors at nursing homes. JoAnn lived in a nursing home and suffered from dementia, and Sam lived in an apartment nearby.Family members said the couple would schedule socially-distant visits once Sam couldn't visit the home any more. Maybe it involves a little bit more flexibility,” she said. “I think presenting your boss with that idea, you know just, ‘Hey, I was thinking this might make things a little bit easier. Then I can get done what I need to get done, but also manage my kids and it might take the stress off everyone.’ I think most bosses really right now would welcome that.”Martel also says self-care is not selfish and that it’s important for parents to take moments for themselves during this challenging time.“Doing those things and not feeling bad about it, like ‘Oh, there’s a million things you could be doing right now,’ but maybe you just need to go take a hot bath or you need to just go out and take a walk or do something for you. LEMON GROVE, Calif. (KGTV) - Deputies are searching for a suspect who shot and killed one man and sent another to the hospital in Lemon Grove Saturday night. The shooting happened just after 8 p.m. near the intersection of Main Street and Olive Street. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were flagged down and, when they got to the scene, discovered the two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were rushed to the hospital where one of the victim’s died. The victim was identified Monday as 29-year-old Henry Weaver. At this time, deputies don’t have any suspect information. 621
