BEIJING, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Senior leader Liu Yunshan on Wednesday urged officials to welcome criticism and ensure implementation of the Party's "mass line" campaign.
The explosion took place at around 9 a.m. in a laboratory in Nanjing University of Science and Technology, toppling down the lab and shattering windows of houses nearby, according to the city's fire department.
He said he will maintain close contact and cooperation with China on the work of the General Assembly, hoping for the nation's continued support.
He noted that China will try to resolve the disputes with the EU through dialogues, and he hopes Finland will continue to play an active role in helping to resolve the issue.
Air pollution is dangerous, as it triggers infectious diseases, cardiovascular disorders and cancers, and the prevalence of these diseases in China is rising, the statement said.
