It's 1 in 7,700 if the airline keeps the middle seats open.“The takeaway is there is a difference,” said Barnett. “I think that it is statistically safer if the middle seat is kept open. The difference is measurable and perceptible, and the question then is if the risk is incredibly low, who cares if it gets cut in half. Then the issue is do people really think this level of risk is incredibly low and individuals will have to make that judgment.”The probabilities are based on numbers from late June. With more new cases, it’s likely there is a greater chance now.Barnett doesn't agree with airline arguments that even if they don't fill the middle seat, passengers still won't be 6 feet away from each other.“They seem to say, look if you're within 6 feet, it doesn't matter if it's 1 foot or 5 feet, you're the same level of risk,” said Barnett. “This bears no relationship to the literature or to physics. I mean the closer you are statistically, the greater is the risk.”Barnett is submitting his research this week to be peer reviewed, but says he wanted to make it available publicly before then, so people could have the information.Lawmakers, passengers and flight crew unions have called on the FAA to set policies for containing the virus.The government says it is advising the airlines that even if it's not passing new regulations.Airlines for America, which represents the major carriers, says mandates aren't necessary, because airlines have already taken extraordinary measures. 2148

We need to feel encouraged and uplifted, this is essential to the human spirit,” Eiseman added.This is the first time a shade of gray has been selected. Next year will be the second time two colors will share the spotlight, the first time was in 2016.Pantone has been selecting a Color of the Year for the last 22 years. TIJUANA, Mexico. (KGTV) -- Conditions were bleak outside the Benito Juarez sports complex, where migrants waited out the rain. Tents stretches as far as the eye can see as migrants hid beneath tarps in a makeshift camp while waiting for the rain to pass. Mud puddles still surround the camp as those inside wait for another band of rain to sweep through Tijuana later Thursday evening. Outdoor showers were set up in the camp. When asked whether or not the journey was worth it, many of the migrants told 10News conditions at the camp are better than conditions in their home countries. Many with the camp say they’re also concerned as more and more migrants come down with colds. Face masks were passed out throughout the week to try to protect those who haven’t caught a cold. TOKYO (AP) — Organizers are saying that a limited number of non-Japanese fans may be allowed to attend next year's Tokyo Olympics.CEO Toshiro Muto says after a meeting on infection countermeasures that fans could face some stringent rules. This would include screening for COVID-19 before they leave home. Non-Japanese fans may also face a 14-day quarantine, depending on their area of origin.Muto says this is still open to discussion.When asked if foreigners to Japan would follow the rules, Muto said it'd be difficult to control their movement and behavior.According to Reuters, Muto said that Olympic organizers are working with Japanese authorities to ensure that athletes and Olympic-related staff will not have to quarantine for 14 days.The goal is for athletes and workers to train and perform their duties leading up to the Olympics, which are expected to start in Summer 2021.There will be extensive screening on arrival and perhaps health-tracking apps to download and a rule book to be complied with. 1021
