INDIANAPOLIS -- An Allegiant Airlines flight from Indianapolis to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was forced to make an emergency landing Sunday evening after a “noxious smell” was detected in the cabin.Allegiant Flight 1878 took off from the Indianapolis International Airport at 3:00 p.m. Sunday. It was scheduled to land at Myrtle Beach International Airport at 4:27 p.m.Mid-flight, however, flight attendants came on the intercom and informed passengers that the plane was going to make an emergency landing at the nearest airport due to a “noxious smell” in the cabin.The plane landed at Asheville Regional Airport, where passengers were asked to deplane. A passenger aboard the flight told Scripps station WRTV in Indianapolis that as she did so she could smell a “burning, smoky smell” near the cabin.In a statement to WRTV, Allegiant said the flight was diverted to Asheville "out of an abundance of caution to check out an electrical odor. The cause of the odor was not yet known.As of 9 p.m., passengers said they had been informed there would be an additional 25-30 minute delay as a problem had been detected in an air conditioning valve in the plane sent to pick them up.  1206

The team develop HASEL, an artificial soft muscle that could enhance robot technology, making them better able to help people who need it."The robot needs to come into your home and work around you," Morrisey says. "And so if the robot is going to go up stairs it's going to need muscles to do that."HASEL muscle technology could also lead to advanced prosthetics.Morrisey says, "If you make a robot that has you know a skeleton frame with a soft bicep on it that moves up and down, you can do the same thing with a prosthetic."While other artificial muscles can be bulky, or unable to withstand electric pulses,  if there's an electric surge, HASEL can even repair itself. And with a rubber shell, electrodes and liquid inside, can you believe it costs only about 10 cents to make. "Originally we used canola oil actually just from the local grocery store," Mitchell says. It's an exciting innovation, but to this team, it's much more."We want to do something new in the scientific community," Mitchell says. Instagram announced Tuesday they were kicking off National Bullying Prevention Month by testing two new features that combat users writing comments that are considered bullying and harassing.The social media platform said in a blog post that one of the new features would automatically hide similar, negative comments that have already been reported." We know from research that, while people don't want to be exposed to negative comments, they want more transparency into the types of words that are hidden," Instagram said in the blog post.To see the remarks, Instagram says you can tap on "view hidden comments."Instagram added that they've also expanded their existing systems to include "an additional warning when people repeatedly attempt to post potentially offensive comments."Since launching comment warning, the company said they'd seen a shift in user's behaviors when providing real-time feedback as they are writing negative comments. 956

InfoWars, a far-right media organization run by Alex Jones and known for peddling unfounded conspiracy theories, is on thin ice with YouTube after it posted a video that portrayed the survivors of the Parkland school shooting as actors.The Alex Jones Channel, Infowar's biggest YouTube account, received one strike for that video, a source with knowledge of the account told CNN. YouTube's community guidelines say if an account receives three strikes in three months, the account is terminated.That video focused on David Hogg, a strong voice among survivors of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
