ALLIED GARDENS (CNS) - A man was left with serious injuries after he was struck by a car while trying to cross an Allied Gardens roadway on Sunday, police said.Just before 7:30 a.m., a 28-year-old man was crossing the 6700 block of Mission Gorge Road, heading west, when he stepped off the center divider into the path of a 1999 Toyota Camry driven by a 30-year-old man, San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros said.The pedestrian suffered a fractured lower leg, injuries to his face and head trauma, Delimitros said. His injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.The crash is under investigation. 616

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- The woman killed in an explosion authorities believe was intentional in Orange County Tuesday has been identified as Ildiko Krajnyak-Vestil of Trabuco Canyon.The explosion happened from the inside of the two-story medical facility located on 5 Mareblu just after 1 p.m.The person who died was inside the building at the time of the blast. Authorities first believed a car had crashed into the side of the building but later said that isn’t the case.The FBI and a bomb squad were sent to the scene to assess the situation and investigate the cause of the explosion.At a press conference Wednesday afternoon, the FBI said they ruled out any accidental cause of the explosion, saying they believe the incident was intentional. An FBI official said there were items found at the scene that were inconsistent with what would be at the medical facility. A motive is unclear at this time and authorities say they haven't arrested any suspects. Officials told KABC that the medical facility appeared to be under construction. A preschool in the area was ordered to evacuate as a precaution after the explosion. Authorities held a news conference giving an update on the investigation Wednesday afternoon. (CNS) - Lions Tigers & Bears, a big cat and bear sanctuary in East San Diego County, announced Thursday it has reopened for public and member visits.The 93-acre sanctuary and educational facility -- home to more than 65 animals -- in Alpine is welcoming visitors back for visits, exclusive behind-the-scenes tours and "Feed with a Keeper" experiences."Our sanctuary is different than most zoos and animal facilities -- especially those featured in Netflix's chaotic Tiger King docuseries -- as we are a strict no-contact facility," said Bobbi Brink, Lions Tigers & Bears founder and director. Almost a quarter million YETI travel mugs are being recalled over concerns about possible burns from hot liquids when the lid ejects.The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the magnet slider on the YETI Rambler 20 oz travel mug with “stronghold lid” can eject when sealed, and hot liquid inside the mug can spill out. The mug was sold from October 1 through 9 and affected 15,000 units. The recall applies to mugs with the date code 34204010 and was sold in a variety of colors. The recalled mugs were not sold on Amazon, REI, Academy, ACE, Dick’s Sporting Goods, or other retailers. They were mostly sold on YETI’s website. On YETI’s website, there is information about how to return to affected mugs for a full refund.YETI reports they have received at least a couple reports of the lids ejecting, and they say no one has been injured at this time.NOTE: This article originally stated that 241,000 YETI mugs were recalled. A Wisconsin man has become the eighth person charged by the state of Michigan and the 14th person charged overall for his alleged role in the kidnapping plot of Gov.
