However, car buyers have mixed reviews about the features.“They are much faster at detecting incidents or possible crashes than people are,” says Kelly Funkhouser with Consumer Reports of safety technology in vehicles.Consumer Reports found 60 percent of car owners who have this type of safety technology say it’s helped them avoid a crash.“Two years ago, there were just a handful of vehicles where this was standard equipment as of last year, but that number went to almost 50 percent of vehicles that were coming equipped with automatic emergency breaking,” Funkhouser says.As much as people love these features, there are downsides.“Unfortunately, some of these sensors are quite costly if you do get into an accident,” Funkhouser says.According to AAA, minor crashes can cost ,000 in extra repair costs due to pricey sensors.When it comes to the safety features, new car owners find lane assist warnings annoying. HOWELL, Mich. — A breastfeeding mother is speaking out after she was denied entry into the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit for the Ariana Grande concert because she had her breast pump with her. The Michigan mothers says the venue ultimately did right by her but it wasn't until after the concert. She hopes other businesses will educate themselves so other mothers won't have the same experience. “I had called before the Ariana Grande concert to make sure that my breast pump would be able to be brought into the facility," Kate Aulette said. "‘Absolutely, it’s a medical device. You’ll have no problems bringing it in.’"But that turned out not to be the case after the 2017 bombing attack at one of Grande's concerts in Manchester, England. Twenty-two people were killed and more than 100 people were injured. “The gentleman had said, ‘No. We’re not going to allow you to bring that in. You would need to have your baby with you if you wanted to bring that device in,’ " Aulette said. "So that really threw me off because that was the whole reason I was bringing my pump is because I wasn’t bringing my daughter with me to the concert.”Aulette said she returned to the bus that drove her to the concert from Howell, Michigan, and pumped her milk. Ford is partnering with the start-up Agility Robotics to see how a two-legged robot and self-driving vehicles can work together.The robot, named Digit, would be used to carry out the final step of getting your delivery from a car to your front door.Digit is a two-legged robot that looks and walks like a human. It's built out of lightweight material and capable of lifting packages that weight up to 40 pounds. Digit can go up and down stairs, walk through uneven terrain and react to things, like being bumped without losing balance and falling over.Digit can also tightly fold itself up in the back of a self-driving vehicle until it's called into action. Once a self-driving car arrives at its destination, Digit can be deployed to grab a package from the vehicle and carry out the final step in the delivery process.If Digit encounters an unexpected obstacle, it can send an image back to the vehicle and have the vehicle configure a solution. Former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the murder of Botham Jean.Guyger shot and killed Jean as he sat in his apartment on Sept. 6, 2018. Guyger lived in the same apartment complex at the time and said she mistakenly entered Jean's apartment, thinking it was hers.During the trial, Guyger testified that she entered the apartment with her gun drawn with the intent to "eliminate' what she thought was an intruder. Guyger's lawyers argued, "stand your ground" laws applied in the case.Guyger also apologized during the trial, saying she has asked God for forgiveness and regretted the incident."I wish he was the one with the gun and killed me," she said.
