"It's horrific," said Shadrach Vaughn the founder of Park Connect. Vaughn recently launched Park Connect in July. The company's goal is to help connect homeowners or businesses who have empty parking spots, with people who need them.The owner or business can list their spot on the Park Connect website, and select a daily, monthly or hourly rate. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police Friday arrested a fugitive sex offender from New York who was reportedly spotted in the area this week.Dale Dulac, 57, was arrested just after 1:40 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Imperial Ave. peacefully. Dulac was reported in the area after fleeing New York and violating his parole.He was charged with felony vehicle theft and receiving stolen property by San Diego Police. According to the United States Marshals Service, Dulac was also being held on a fugitive warrant for violating his parole when he left Niagara Falls, New York, on Sept. 20. 596

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Gas and Electric warned customers that the company may have to shut off power to some rural residents due to Santa Ana winds.The notifications come as the Valley Fire rages and a red flag warning remains through 8 p.m. Wednesday night. The company said it notified more than 16,000 customers about the possible public safety power shutoffs. Notified residents should be prepared to be without power through Thursday, SDG&E said.The Valley Fire has scorched more than 17,000 acres and is 11% contained as of Wednesday morning. 567
SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police arrested a woman last week for reportedly sex trafficking two young girls. According to police, the woman, identified as Desiree Morton, called officers on July 17 to report that she was a victim of domestic violence and that her boyfriend stole her vehicle. When officers responded to the unspecified location, they found Morton, along with two other girls police say appeared to be younger than 18 and had no identification cards. Police say the girls also had tattoos along their jaws. The two girls later told investigators they were 14 and 15-years-old. Officers arrested Morton after she reportedly admitted to prostituting the girls. The girls were taken into protective custody. 732
