NATIONAL CITY (KGTV) -- Police in National City are searching for several suspects who reportedly robbed a jewelry store early Tuesday afternoon. According to police, three suspects entered the Eclipse Jewelry store just before 12:30 p.m. The suspects, only described as police as three black men, smashed three to six jewelry cases and got away with an unknown amount of jewelry. Police are looking into whether or not this incident is linked to a string of jewelry store robberies in late 2018 and early 2017. Between December of 2018 and February of 2019, at least three other jewelry stores throughout San Diego County were robbed in a similary manner. According to the COVID Tracking Project, there are currently more than 106,000 coronavirus-related hospitalizations. The COVID Tracking Project reported an increase of 2,098 active hospitalizations on Wednesday.With so many active hospitalizations, workers have been trying to make space to accommodate the surge of patients.
