SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Boulevard Fitness in University Heights is open for business, with a line of people wrapped around the building waiting to go inside to workout on Tuesday, even though they’re not supposed to be open.Last week, San Diego County Supervisors said the county would be cracking down on businesses that violate public health orders put into place due to the coronavirus pandemic.A gym owner in Ramona was recently charged with several misdemeanors for staying open for indoor workouts. The San Diego County District Attorney’s Office said Peter San Nicolas, owner of Ramona Fitness Center, faces five charges that each carry ,000 fines.However, at Boulevard Fitness, staff members told ABC 10News they’ve had visits from police telling them they should not be open, but nothing more.The gym on El Cajon Boulevard is limiting the number of people inside and increasing cleaning and other measures to try to limit the risk of potential virus exposure to gym members.A San Diego Police Department spokesperson said officers are responding to complaints about businesses that are open when they’re not supposed to be, but police are -- at this point -- only educating businesses that may be in violation of the health order and not physically forcing any shutdowns.San Nicolas is holding a rally in Ramona Tuesday night in hopes of getting the word out that small businesses, including gyms like his, are still trying desperately to survive -- even if, in some cases, it means facing charges to stay open. 1526

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Authorities responded to reports of a California Highway Patrol Officer who crashed his motorcycle in Rancho Bernardo Thursday evening. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened on northbound I-15 at Rancho Bernardo Road before 6 p.m. At this time, the cause of the crash is unknown. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Car owners at a senior community in University City woke up to a messy surprise Tuesday morning. Louise, who asked 10news not to identity her, went to her SUV which was parked on Kantor Street, and her heart sank."I walked to my car and saw that the window had been burst.  It was terrifying," said Louise.Glass was everywhere and inside her vehicle was another mess.  Her glove compartment had been tossed, her insurance and registration scattered.  Nothing was missing, but Louise is nervous."Very afraid of the personal information now they know what address I'm actually at," said Louise.It appears someone took a bat or something like that to bash the window, before unlocking their passenger door.  Louise is not the only victim.  Nearby there were more vehicles hit, some 14 in all.  The windows on those vehicles were also shattered.  Some items were stolen and the repairs will cost hundreds of dollars for each incident."A lot of people on fixed incomes. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Crime Stoppers released photos Wednesday to find a man and woman suspected of two armed robberies in Otay Mesa and Pacific Beach. The first robbery happened the afternoon of Sunday, July 28 at Tepito Club, a clothing store at 2364 Roll Drive. Police said the pair selected merchandise and approached the clerk, then the woman pulled a gun and demanded cash. The couple took the money and drove off in a blue Toyota Corolla. One day later, police said the two suspects gathered items at the Chevron gas station at 1575 Garnet Ave., eventually demanding cash from the clerk. The man and woman walked away from the area with the money, police said. The suspects are both white, according to Crime Stoppers. The woman is 5’6”, thin, and was wearing a black tank top and grey leggings. The man has a medium build, and is about 30 years old with tattoos.
