So it's not too surprising that under those ideal conditions, that it would last quite a bit longer than it would under normal conditions."While experts agree COVID-19 primarily spreads from person to person through droplets in the air, there is still more to understand about how it can transfer from objects or surfaces to people."People do have a proclivity to touch their face and their eyes, so if you are in a place that's not familiar to you and you are using things that are unfamiliar to you, just be careful," said Wolfson."Your own cell phone, if you are the only one using it, that's not a big deal. But door handles, faucet handles elevator buttons things like that. Wash your hands after you do that. That's a really good idea," said Unnasch.All of the experiments in this study were done in the dark. TAMPA, Fla. — A kitten in Florida is recovering after being stabbed in the face with a dart.Jennifer Tate volunteers with the St. Francis Society Animal Rescue and she can’t wait to bring home the kitten.“We saved a cat about two and half years ago that had been shot with an arrow and we named him Sir Robin. So, we thought it would be appropriate to name her Maid Marian, the love interest of Sir Robin Hood," said Tate.Hillsborough County Animal Services is trying to find out who’s responsible for hurting the cat.“The person that found her said she could not open her mouth, so it had pierced all the way through and actually into part of her throat," Tate said.Someone found the kitten on Aimiee Court, south of Bearss Avenue in Tampa.“It’s horrific. How does somebody walk up to a cat and jam something into her face? And walk away. How do you sleep at night," said Tate.If Maid Marian is ready, she’ll have surgery Friday at Gulf Coast Veterinary Center.Tate will foster her, but eventually, the hope is the kitten will be adopted.“We want her to have the best life and to be able to put this behind her. The baby of a Michigan mother who sacrificed her own life in order to give birth to her sixth child passed away on Wednesday.Carrie DeKlyen decided to forego clinical trials and chemotherapy to treat her brain cancer since it would have meant ending her pregnancy. Doctors removed Carrie's feeding and breathing tubes one day after her daughter, Life Lynn, was born.Born prematurely, Life Lynn weighed one pound and four ounces, and was in neonatal intensive care.Life Lynn's death was announced on the Cure 4 Carrie Facebook page, which was created to share updates about the family. "I have no explanation of why this happened, but I do know Jesus loves us and someday we will know why," the Facebook post said. 736

The Barron County Sheriff said the possible sighting of a missing and endangered Wisconsin teen in Miami, Florida doesn't appear to be credible. An AMBER Alert was issued Monday afternoon for 13-year-old Jayme Closs after her parents were found dead in their home. Gas station surveillance video from Miami shows the girl a witness thought to be Jayme. The FBI has yet to confirm it was. Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald indicated Tuesday it isn't credible. A witness claims to have seen Jayme inside this black SUV with Wisconsin plates Monday afternoon at a Miami gas station. That's 1,700 miles away from where Jayme's last confirmed sighting Sunday afternoon in her hometown. Surveillance video briefly shows a teenage girl sitting in the front passenger seat as the driver pulled up to a gas pump. She doesn't appear to be restrained at the time. Moments before, a man got out of that same vehicle and walked up to another SUV and a truck to talk with others. Miami police shared the possible sighting via social media on Monday night. "We are actively researching that tip," said Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald appeared frustrated at news conference Tuesday that Miami police released information about a possible tip. "Every tip continues to be followed up on and if it's something we need to get out to you, you will get that information and it will come directly from me out to you," Fitzgerald said. Authorities were first alerted to Jayme's disappearance early Monday morning when a 911 call led sheriff's deputies to her home in Barron.
