(KGTV) - California residents are feeling the crunch of rising home costs, so much so that many have considered moving out of the state, according to a poll from UC Berkeley.A new study from the UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies revealed about 48 percent of California voters described housing affordability as an "extremely serious" problem in their area, with 36 percent saying it's "somewhat serious."RELATED: San Diego's housing crisis prompts M trust fund for affordable housingPerhaps more alarming, the issue has caused about 56 percent of voters to consider moving from their area, a quarter of those respondents saying they would likely leave the state. (KGTV and AP) - Two suspects are in custody in the United States in connection with the deaths of nine women and children in northern Mexico, relatives of the victims report. Bryan LeBaron said Thursday U.S. officials told the family that two suspects had been detained in the United States, but did not specify what role they had played in the Nov. 4 ambush attack. Earlier this week, prosecutors said more than 40 suspects have now been identified in connection with the killings of the extended Langford and LeBaron families who have lived in northern Mexico for decades. Three mothers and six children were killed; eight others were injured. The victims were dual citizens of Mexico and the United States, and part of a Mormon community of about 3,000 members living in Mexico. "The FBI remains committed to working alongside our international partners to help bring justice to the perpetrators of this heinous act of violence." (KGTV) — A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck the Mojave Desert area Wednesday.The quake was recorded at 1:40 p.m. in Trona, Calif., according to the US Geological Survey, and could be felt as far east as Las Vegas and as far west as Los Angeles. The earthquake had a depth of less than half a mile just north of Barstow.A 3.7-magnitude aftershock was recorded in the same area within the next hour.Sal Romo at Esparza family restaurant in Trona told 10News they definitely felt shaking but there wasn't any damage. Normally when they get quakes it's from Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in Ridgecrest due to bombs going off or planes, he added.No damages or injuries were immediately reported. 704
