PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) — A Trolls doll is being pulled off store shelves amid complaints it promotes child abuse. Toymaker Hasbro said Wednesday that it's in the process of removing the "Trolls World Tour Giggle and Sing Poppy" from the market and will be offering customers a replacement doll of the popular female character. The doll had been designed to giggle when placed in a sitting position, but some parents complain the sound activation button is inappropriately placed between the doll's legs. In a statement to the Providence Journal, Hasbro spokeswoman Julie Duffy said that the placement of the sensor wasn't intentional. An online petition suggests the doll is "conditioning our children to think pedophilia is OK." 735

Police in North Carolina are searching for a suspect in the shooting death of a man who was killed while streaming live on Facebook, according to CNN affiliate WSOC-TV.The shooting took place Monday in the town of Wingate. The victim has been identified as Prentis Robinson, 55.Robinson's Facebook page is filled with live videos of him playing instruments and walking down the street with a selfie-stick.Nothing seemed different when the 55-year-old was filming live Monday morning, selfie-stick in hand, complaining about a family member who Robinson claims stole one of his three cellphones. According to WSOC, the video showed him stopping at the Wingate Police Department to report the alleged theft.The Facebook video shows Robinson as he left the station, walked up a hill toward his home and exchanged a few words with another man.Then there was gunfire and Robinson, along with his phone, fell to the ground.CNN has reached out for further comment from the Wingate Police Department.Wingate police Chief Donnie Gay told WSOC, "I'd just spoke to him, it was, I just ... it's hard to say anything about that. I just got through talking to him."Robinson was found face down on the street. Douglas Cleveland Colson, 65, was identified by police as a suspect in the shooting, and is now wanted on a murder charge, according to WSOC.The fatal shooting led to a lockdown at nearby Wingate University, which is less than a mile from the scene. Phoenix police are investigating after a young child was run over and killed by a parent Thursday night.According to Phoenix police, 21-month-old Samuel Hamilton died after he was struck by a car at a home near Interstate 17 and Northern Avenue.Authorities say the victim's father, 49-year-old Richard Hamilton, was moving a truck on his property when he hit his son. Hamilton stopped after feeling a "bump under the tire," police said.Samuel was taken to the hospital but died of his injuries, officials said,Hamilton is facing multiple charges in connection with the incident including DUI and negligent homicide. 633

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 2-year-old girl at a hotel in Wickliffe, Ohio on Friday night.The shooting happened around 11 p.m. at the Econo Lodge Wickliffe-Cleveland East, 28611 Euclid Ave. Police said it appears the child's mother was handling a gun when it went off and the 2-year-old girl was shot in the chest.The mother initially told the 911 operator the gun's safety was off, but a few seconds later said the safety was on when she dropped the weapon."The safety was on when I dropped the gun and the bullet shot her. The gun dropped, I dropped my gun," the mother told the 911 operator. "She's gone. My baby's gone. She's not breathing at all. She's gone."The child was taken to a nearby hospital but later died from the injury, according to authorities.Police said the shooting appears to be accidental. The mother had the weapon legally and had a concealed carry permit. It will be left up to the Lake County Crime Lab and the prosecutor's office to determine if any charges are filed, police said. 1062

Plano police remain on a mass shooting scene on Monday in Plano, Texas, where eight people -- including the suspect -- are dead.The shooting occurred at a home on West Spring Creek Parkway around 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening. That's where officers found seven dead bodies, and two others with gunshot wounds; those two were taken to the hospital.Plano officers confronted the suspect inside the home, where they shot and killed him. The officer who fired the shots has been placed on administrative leave. The Texas Rangers were also on scene investigating the shooting.The area around the shooting was closed Monday morning as police continue to investigate the scene.
