That was the trigger,” retired first grade teacher, Carol Mason said. “There have been so many more that it just breaks my heart.”The 88-year-old said she was inspired to partake in her first anti-gun demonstration Saturday, after being inspired by the nationwide student walk-out last week.She and more than 100 people held signs and walked along Villa De La Valle, chanting “Never Again!” Especially after the Parkland tragedy, protestors said they could not stand to see another child being killed by gun violence. What we've done now is made three jockey’s rooms to thin out the ranks so they're not sitting on top of each other like they do normally.”Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this racing season will be noticeably different than years past. This season, jockeys will also wear masks on and off the horses, test daily for the coronavirus, and if anyone receives a positive result, they'll be required to quarantine for at least 10 days."When we put that into place in the summer after our first hiccup, it worked out well. DENVER, Colo. - Air traffic in and out of Denver International Airport was impacted Tuesday afternoon following COVID-19-related cleaning procedures at an FAA facility on airport grounds, a DIA spokesperson confirmed to Denver7.DIA said they were in a ground stop for only a few minutes around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The airport was on a ground delay or traffic management up until 6 p.m., delaying inbound traffic.The stop happened due to COVID-19-related cleaning in an FAA facility on airport property after an FAA employee tested positive for the virus. Air controllers were moved into a backup room to clean the main room. DEL MAR, Calif. (KGTV) -- Another shark sighting in Del Mar prompted lifeguards to leave in place signs warning swimmers to enter the water at their own risk. According to lifeguards, the five-foot-long shark was spotted at 1 p.m. off 15th street as crews patrolled the area in a boat. Lifeguards say the advisory signs will be taken down in 24 hours unless any more sharks are spotted in the area. The sighting marks the fourth day in a row a shark has been spotted in the area. Research biologists say if a shark is under six feet, they are juveniles and eat smaller fish, posing no threat to people. “If I saw a sub-adult or anything over 6 feet, I would probably personally get out of the water,” Heidi Dewar, Research Biologist at the Southwest Fisheries Science Center said.
