(KGTV) - Hawkins, Ind., is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood this Halloween, well, the upside down version of the town, anyway.Universal Studios Hollywood is partnering with Netflix to bring the world of "Stranger Things" to the theme park's Halloween Horror Nights event beginning Sept. 14. The park's mazes will be transformed into an alternate reality, the Upside Down, from the show.It's there in the Halloween mazes where horrors await.As guests make their way through iconic scenes and locales from the show, including the Hawkins National Laboratory to the Byers home, the fearsome Demogorgon will be stalking from the shadows.The "Stranger Things" themed scares will also come to Universal Studios' Orlando and Singapore locations.Halloween Horror Nights will not only transform mazes into scenes of terror, but the streets of Universal Studios will become scare zones, with monster jumping out around every turn. 938

(CNN) -- The White House and Capitol Hill is considering a phone app connected to the National Instant Criminal Background Checks (NICS) as one of the options in their discussions for plans to reduce gun violence, according to a Senate source and a person familiar with the talks.The proposed app would be used for background checks using private sales, and not for purchases involving commercial dealers, one of the sources told CNN. The Washington Post first reported on the app.White House aides have spent the last month meeting with congressional staffers and devising a package of legislative measures in the wake of recent mass shootings. The Department of Justice also prepared a package of options that was delivered to the White House more than two weeks ago.On Thursday, senior advisers presented President Donald Trump with summaries of the various courses of action on gun violence.During the briefing, officials did not delve into legislative details and Trump did not appear interested in some of the nitty-gritty of how each proposal would work, the person familiar said.Trump, who has been facing pressure from Republican lawmakers to specify his stance, emerged from the meeting, declining to clarify his position on expanding background checks.Separately, the source told CNN the lack of clarify is leading to doubts Trump will back a bipartisan measure on expanded background checks from Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Republican Sen. (KGTV) — A Delaware school is apologizing after the infamous Rosanne Barr rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" recorded in San Diego was played before a recent high school football game.The Seaford School District said Wednesday they are unsure of how the recording was played before Seaford High School's Tuesday night football game, according to the News Journal of Wilmington.A letter from Superintendent David Perrington said the pregame proceedings with be improved and they are looking into the recent fumble.Students and families were shocked when Barr's version of the national anthem, recorded before a San Diego Padres game on July 25, 1990, blared over the intercom to usher in the game.Perrington's letter says the district usually plays the national anthem before games and will pay a district-approved version in the future.Need a reminder of how the infamous rendition played out?
