BEIJING, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with the President of the 70th session of the U.N. General Assembly (UNGA) Mogens Lykketoft here on Saturday, to discuss issues of common concern, including the leading role of the United Nations in international affairs.

To well implement the post-2015 development agenda, Xi put forward a four-point proposal for the international community: building up the development capacities; improving the international environment for development; updating the partnership for development; and strengthening the coordination mechanisms for development.

"We will continue to deepen economic reform and ensure that the market will play a decisive role in allocating resources," he said.

China, Japan and South Korea are close neighbors and leading players in Asia. Their population accounts for 70 percent of the East Asian total, and their GDP makes up 70 percent of the whole Asian economic output.

Even under market conditions, countries support the growth of their companies in various ways, and such measures should not be all labelled as government subsidy. China's system is different from that of Western countries. Due to historical reasons, Chinese companies perform many social functions, which are hard to measure with a simple arithmetic formula.
