SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A San Diego County public defense attorney is accused of providing a felon with a firearm, according to local law enforcement.  San Diego Police confirm that Andrea Bayer was arrested on August 1 and booked into Las Colinas women’s jail on charges related to selling, supplying or delivering a firearm to either a convicted felon or someone wanted on a felony warrant. She was released the same day on bond.  On the State Bar of California’s website, it shows that the 37 year-old’s license is still active and that she works as an Alternate Public Defender for San Diego County. The District Attorney’s Office says Bayer has not been charged and the case remains under review. A Group Communications Officer with San Diego County sent us the following statement: “The County of San Diego cannot comment on personnel matters. Ms. Bayer is currently on leave from her position pending the outcome of the investigation. The Public Defender believes in the presumption of innocence and has faith in the judicial process.” 1070

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A pair of local singers are trying to help people cope with social distancing by hosting live happy hour concerts on Facebook.Don LeMaster and Corey Hable host shows a couple of times a week, singing for nearly three hours."It's just as fun for us as it is for the people watching," says LeMaster. "We love doing it, and it's helping us in our home. He had to miss a gig because he had a cold. So he decided to sing online that night.Now that he and Hable are out of work, they've kept it going. So far, they've done seven shows.The concerts have become extremely popular, garnering thousands of views. "We've had people join from Spain. We had South Korea. We had some in the Philippines, and Stockholm last night. So it's crazy."It's also therapeutic. LeMaster and Hable say they try not to mention coronavirus at all during the show, because they want it to be an escape from the realities of the outside world."What we're doing is a whole different thing," says LeMaster. They plan to do a Yacht Rock theme for this concert. And while they do accept donations through PayPal and Venmo, they say it's not about the money. We need this positivity. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A jury deadlocked Monday in the second trial of a former Navy commander accused of trying to rape a military colleague.The alleged victim said John Michael Neuhart II sexually assaulted her after they spent time drinking and hanging out with colleagues downtown in 2016.The woman said Neuhart took off her pants and underwear and was physically violent inside her Valencia Park home.RELATED: Mistrial declared in trial of former Navy commanderIn a cell phone video recorded by the defendant, the woman can be heard telling Neuhart to "stop" as he tries to get her to open the door about 3 a.m."I've wanted you for a while," Neuhart tells her. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A man arrested Tuesday after leading authorities on a pursuit through the East County Tuesday is being charged with two separate stabbings that occurred hours earlier.San Diego County Sheriff's (SDSO) deputies arrested Patrick Douglas, 51, near Highway 94 and Freezer Blvd. following a vehicle pursuit with deputies earlier Tuesday.Douglas was charged with two counts of attempted murder in connection with two stabbings the same day in El Cajon and La Mesa.Deputies said the La Mesa stabbing occurred at the 7-Eleven at 4610 Avocado Blvd. A female delivery driver for Frito Lays, identified as 35-year-old Dina Hammond, staggered into the store with multiple stab wounds to her upper torso after having just made a delivery. 757
