A Nashville high school football coach has been arrested on a charge of soliciting an underage student.According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, 25-year-old Weldon Garlington messaged a 17-year-old girl on Instagram asking her for sex. His Instagram profile states he is a football coach and associate dean of students at RePublic High School, a charter school near Brick Church Pike in north Nashville.Garlington was arrested late Thursday night after he allegedly confessed to police about having sent the messages.The conversation reportedly started with private Instagram messages to her over the weekend, asking the girl when she would turn 18-years-old. He also asked if she wanted to do anything with him "like sex lol." He later offered to reimburse her gas money to drive to his apartment. The affidavit claimed, the next day, he texted her saying, "My bad about all this... Let's just act like none of this was ever talked about."Garlington was booked into jail on 0,000 bond and was charged with solicitation of a minor. A man walks into an Ohio Little Caesars, buys a pizza and walks back out to his car.Happens every day.What does not happen every day is the man driving away on only three tires and getting busted for an OVI. According to Canton police, Joshua Milkovich, 28, was missing a tire as he drove his car around on Sunday night. Police say they got several calls from concerned citizens who were worried he had gotten into accident.Police found him on the 1900 block of Mount Vernon, where his car broke down.He was charged with an OVI and taken to Stark County Jail.  598

A video appears to show a Westland Police Officer using a Taser on a man as he is holding his two-month-old baby. The incident happened on Friday night where neighbors were having a barbecue. Witnesses said police arrived because of a call about a fight. “We were just barbecuing, and we saw the cops come up,” neighbor Kelvin Williams said. “They came up and asked us who was fighting. We were like, ‘You got the wrong house.’”Williams said they didn’t understand what the officers meant. “At that point, my friend Ray got a little agitated like you’re coming over to my house, my property and you're asking me about something I don’t know about,” Williams said. According to witnesses, Ray Brown then began to argue with officers. Williams said that is when he decided to record video on his cell phone. In the video, officers told Brown was going to be arrested, then ordered Brown's son to be taken away from the scene. “That’s my child. He can be exactly where he’s at. Give me my child. Give me my child,” Brown said. Officers then crowd into Brown with a taser out. Nichole Skidmore, Brown’s girlfriend, and mother of two-month-old Christopher tried to take the baby.It appears in the video that Brown was still holding Christopher and in the process of passing him to Skidmore when officers deployed a Taser. “I had to catch the baby," Skidmore said. "I was in the street talking with the cops. I had to come over. The taser is on this side of him, and the baby is over here. As soon as they start tasing him the baby flew out of his hands and I had to grab him, or he would have fell.”Brown was arrested and placed in custody soon after that. According to a Facebook post by the Westland Police Community Partnership, Brown attempted to grab his child only after learning he would be arrested. The department says that officers chose to deploy a Taser due to the "close quarters," and that the child was also in the hands of the mother at the time the Taser was used.The Community Partnership also stated that a "thorough internal investigation" would be conducted.  2158

A two-week-old child is dead after the newborn was mauled on Cleveland's west side. A Cleveland Police detective said the child was attacked by a family dog at a home. The infant was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center after a four-year-old German Shepherd got loose from where it was fenced in and bit the baby.The girl did not survive the injuries, dying from head trauma.Cleveland's homicide unit was notified about the attack.The City of Cleveland Kennels responded to the scene and took custody of the dog. 535
