With many Americans avoiding getting on board passenger jets amid the spread of coronavirus, United Airlines has a plan to continue operating some of its fleet of planes. United Airlines said that it is using some of its largest planes as cargo planes. United Airlines said the flights will be used to carry "critical goods."United said it is using its Boeing 777 and 787 fleet to run 40 charter flights each week, and is looking to add more routes. "Connecting products to people around the world is the United Cargo mission," said United Cargo President Jan Krems. "That role has never been more crucial than during the current crisis. Our team is working around the clock to provide innovative solutions for our customers and support the global community." 771

Workers removing shelves and coolers from a former No Frills Supermarket in Council Bluffs, Iowa, in January discovered a body behind one of them. The remains were recently identified as those of Larry Ely Murillo-Moncada, a former employee who had been reported missing November 28, 2009.Investigators used his parents' DNA to confirm the identity, and the clothes matched the description of his attire at the time he was reported missing, according to Council Bluffs Police Capt. Todd Weddum.Murillo-Moncada's parents reported their son missing after he became upset and ran out of their home. They told police at the time that he was acting irrationally, possibly because of medication he was taking, Weddum said.Officers contacted family members, other law enforcement agencies, nearby detention centers and even the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency -- he had been deported to Honduras before making his way back to the United States -- but received no information regarding his possible whereabouts.Investigators now believe that Murillo-Moncada went to the supermarket and climbed on top of the coolers. The space was used as storage for merchandise, Weddum said, and employees would sometimes go there to hide when they wanted to take an unofficial break. He is thought to have fallen into the 18-inch gap between the back of the cooler and a wall, where he became trapped. Noise from the coolers' compressors may have concealed any attempts to call for help, according to Weddum. An autopsy found no signs of trauma, and the case has been deemed an accidental death. 1596

With Facebook Live already rolling, Bryan Atkinson stepped out of a pickup truck into an empty South Carolina field and spoke to the camera."Here's the famous YETI," he said of the high-end ice chest. He then opened the top of the cooler, revealing a duct-taped cardboard box."There's the famous 22 pounds of Tannerite," he said, referring to the explosives often used for firearms practice. "This YETI ain't ready."After his friends drove the cooler to the middle of the field, Atkinson got down on one knee, readied his rifle and fired. With a resounding boom, the remains of the cooler exploded into the air."(If) YETI can't stand behind the NRA, I ain't standing behind YETI no more," he said in the video. The stunt, posted online Monday, is just one of a number of instances of National Rifle Association supporters destroying their YETI-branded coolers, mugs and related products in recent days amid a controversy over the company's perceived lack of support for gun owners. The outcry comes after many companies, including banks, rental car agencies and airlines, severed ties with the powerful gun lobby in the wake of February's mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida. Why NRA supporters are madYETI products are popular among those who love the outdoors and a cool (or hot) drink, making them a favorite with hunters, fishermen, campers and tailgaters. Most of the company's coolers sell for hundreds of dollars, and the most expensive option costs ,300.NRA supporters' problem with YETI started Friday when former NRA president Marion Hammer wrote a letter on behalf of the NRA-Institute for Legislative Action, saying that YETI had suddenly and without prior notice declined to do business with the NRA Foundation."They will only say they will no longer sell products to The NRA Foundation. That certainly isn't sportsmanlike. In fact, YETI should be ashamed," Hammer wrote.Three days later, YETI slammed that statement as "inaccurate" on its Facebook page. The company said it notified the NRA Foundation and a number of other organizations that they were eliminating outdated discounts."When we notified the NRA Foundation and the other organizations of this change, YETI explained that we were offering them an alternative customization program broadly available to consumers and organizations, including the NRA Foundation. These facts directly contradict the inaccurate statement the NRA-ILA distributed on April 20," YETI said. The company went on to defend its record of supporting hunters and others who love the outdoors."Moreover, YETI is unwavering in our belief in and commitment to the Constitution of the United States and its Second Amendment," the company wrote. 2735

With Halloween coming up, there’s candy everywhere. It can be easy to go overboard on the sweets, but nutritionists say there are ways to indulge and keep your health in check. With around 600 million pounds of Halloween candy bought each year, registered dietitian Sara Scheler says some treats are more nutritious than others. Scheler says she recommends Reese’s over Snickers. “I prefer them because they have simple ingredients,” said Scheler. “There’s really just sugar, a little bit of fat, chocolate and peanuts, where Snickers has a much longer label and corn syrup as well.”What about M&Ms vs. KitKats? “I would pick KitKats over M&Ms. I don’t like M&Ms because they have all that artificial color along with them and they do have a lot more concentrated sugar.”SweetTarts or Nerds?“So SweetTarts are my pick over Nerds because Nerds have a slightly larger serving size even though that box is really tiny, it still has more candy in it.”Twix or Milk Way?“Between Twix and Milk Way, I would actually say that’s a tie. They have similar amount of calories, similar amounts of added sugar.”If you plan on indulging in a few pieces of candy over the next few weeks, Scheler also suggests eating them at a certain time.“It’s best to eat sugar, especially processed sugar, with a meal, so that our blood glucose level doesn’t spike as high. So, I would recommend having candy with your meal, right after your meal, or in between meals,” said Scheler.Scheler also suggests sticking to only a few pieces of fun size candy. 1549
