SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - President Donald Trump started a five-day treatment of Remdesivir Friday, according to Navy Commander Dr. Sean Conley.Gilead Sciences is a California-based company, with offices in Oceanside, making the experimental drug Remdesivir. That drug saved San Diegan Troy Kahle's life and has saved others."I did survive and I did have the five-day treatment," Kahle said. He said new information created by a supercharged immune system.He said the virus triggers the immune system to respond with force, creating damaging inflammation. Ramers said that's why the president and other patients are taking a cocktail of medications to battle the viral spread and inflammation. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a suspect who reportedly stole a cello worth 0,000 from a Mission Valley hotel room.According to police, the incident happened on August 8 between 8 and 10 p.m. at the Town and Country hotel on the 500 block of Hotel Circle North.Police say the suspect forced their way into the hotel room, which was unoccupied at the time, and stole several items, including the rare, custom-made cello.The cello was made by Mario Miralles and has a label that reads “Mario Miralles 2010 Alta Dena California”. Nancy Sussman is no stranger to the courthouse. Usually, she’s representing her clients, but this time she’s defending herself against criminal charges that could send her to prison.Traffic backed up. Drivers snapping video of how the high speed chase ended. Police say Sussman finally stopped when they laid down spike strips. Still, they say she refused to come out of the car, eventually forcing them to smash out one of the windows.10News is learning new details about the woman behind the wheel of the white Mercedes. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police arrested a man Wednesday suspected of robbing a US Bank in North park before causing a major backup on I-5 in the South Bay. According to the FBI, Gustavo Torres, 32, was charged Thursday with one count of robbery. Torres is accused of robbing the US Bank on the 3200 block of University Avenue in North Park on August 7. Shortly after the robbery, San Diego Police were able to track down a suspect matching the bank robber’s description on Interstate 5 near Main Street in Chula Vista. Authorities shut down all lanes of southbound I-5 during the arrest, forcing traffic to a halt. According to the FBI, Torres is due in court for an arraignment on August 9. 696

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating after a 19-year-old was shot in Chicano Park Wednesday night. According to San Diego Police, the teen was walking with a group of men in the park just before 7 p.m. when an argument broke out and an unknown suspect pulled out a handgun. Several shots were fired at the 19-year-old, who was hit twice by the gunfire, police say. The victim ran away from the scene and was taken to the hospital by an acquaintance. He sustained non-life threatening injuries, police say. Both the victim and acquaintance were unable to provide any details about the shooting.
