A scary moment happened for parents and young kids when a fight broke out at the Lied Memorial Boys and Girls Club near Lindell Road and Edna Avenue in Las Vegas.It's not clear yet how it all started but from the video, it appears that a number of adults were involved. But what concerns parents most is there were a lot of young children, even babies in the audience when the fight started. What seemed like a heated argument turns into a fistfight within seconds. People were throwing wild punches, shoving and tackling each other as others tried to break the fight.Scripps station KTNV in Las Vegas spoke with a parent who was at the Lied Memorial Boys and Girls Club. Concerned with his kid's safety, he did not want to be identified."It was scary you know just to know that all those kids around, and how fast the situation escalated... just one second everybody was having fun and the next second it was chaos," the parent said. "It was a 'think fast' moment because the kids were close. More than anything it was just getting the kids out of the way and then figuring out what was going on."KTNV reached out to Boys and Girls Club and the National Youth Sports League which oversees the game.The League responded saying it is still "gathering facts" saying, "If found that any of the individuals were involved in our league they will be immediately removed and we will press charges. A Thanksgiving night shooting at a mall in Alabama left two people injured and a gunman dead, authorities said Thursday.The incident at the Riverchase Galleria in Hoover started with a physical altercation between an 18-year-old and the 21-year-old gunman, police said. The confrontation occurred in the mall, near Footaction and JC Penney stores.Police do not know how the confrontation began, but "we do not believe at this point the 18-year-old was armed," Hoover police Capt. Gregg Rector said.The gunman opened fire, shooting the teen twice in the torso, according to police. An officer confronted the gunman as he ran away from the scene and fatally shot him, Rector said.The officer involved has been placed on administrative leave while the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office investigates the incident, police said.A 12-year-old girl was also struck and injured, but it's unclear by whom, Rector said. The two people injured have been hospitalized.The girl had a single gunshot wound and has gone through surgery and "does not have life-threatening injuries," Rector told CNN.Witnesses described hearing gunshots inside the mall, which was open late on Thanksgiving. A new campaign is bringing attention to an issue that hasn't been front and center since the pandemic started – missing children.“There has been a lot of awareness, a lot of things have changed, but regarding her case, unfortunately there's nothing,” said Jessica Nu?ez about her missing 15-year-old daughter, Alicia Navarro.Navarro, who has autism, was 14 when she vanished in the middle of the night last September from her home in Glendale, Arizona.Alicia played online games and her mother thinks she was lured away by someone she met online. They had even discussed the dangers in therapy.“And then she wrote me a letter where she sweared to me she was coming back, so that’s what has me very worried, because I know her intention was for her to come back and that’s why I won’t stop looking,” said Nu?ez. “I won’t stop looking until I get answers because it’s been so long.”In a new effort to bring attention to missing children like Alicia Navarro, their pictures will be featured on some gas station pump video screens. A new internal document shows the Transportation Security Administration's proposal to eliminate screening at more than 150 small to medium sized airports is just one of several cost-saving measures the agency is discussing.The document, which an agency source says TSA Administrator David Pekoske was briefed on last month, shows how the TSA could save more than 0 million in 2020.Among the proposed cuts listed in the document are a reduction in full-time air marshals, a reduction in the workforce at TSA headquarters, fewer reimbursements to airports for janitorial services at TSA checkpoints, cuts for benefits for new part-time employees and a 50% cut in reimbursements to state and local law enforcement agencies for use of their K-9 units.The TSA did not respond to multiple requests for comment.Spending cuts would have to be approved by Congress, which sets the TSA's budget. 902
