SAN DIEGO, Calif (KGTV) - Doctors are warning that this winter's wet weather means an early start to allergy season."We anticipate that it could get pretty bad," says Dr. Dana Ger, the Clinical Director of Scripps Health Express.She says her offices have already seen people with all the symptoms; sneezing, runny noses, scratchy throats, coughs and congestion.Dr. Ger says you can blame it on the rain. All the wet weather in January and February kept the pollen close to the ground instead letting it disperse into the atmosphere. Those will add more pollen to the air.And because allergy season is starting sooner, it could make symptoms worse as the spring moves along."If you have mild allergies when it's a mild spring, or a small amounts of pollen, you can have increasing allergies when there is significantly more amounts of allergies or mold," says Dr. Ger.To treat the symptoms, Dr. Ger recommends a nasal irrigation with salt water or a spray. She also says over the counter medicines will usually take care of the problem.If they don't, Dr. Ger says you should see a doctor to make sure there isn't a bigger problem, like Sinusitis."That's when it becomes critical that we have diagnosis," she says. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A California man convicted five years ago of defrauding several local governments in the state has been charged with trying to steal million from the Paycheck Protection Program. Federal prosecutors announced Friday that Attila Colar of Richmond submitted nine loan applications and falsified payroll tax documents. But many are stepping up to distribute food for free.Three hundred sixty-five cars lined up with their trunks popped wide open, ready for bags of free food to be plopped in. Following their new drive-up food bank protocols, volunteers at the Community Through Hope (CTH) warehouse in Chula Vista made no direct contact with the families in line.
