PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — The city of Pasadena has kept outdoor dining open despite Los Angeles County restricting restaurants to takeout to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. A surge of COVID-19 cases last week in the nation’s most populous county led to a three-week end to outdoor dining and then a broader stay-home order that took effect Monday. Officials in the city famous for its Rose Parade said they chose more aggressive enforcement because Pasadena is smaller than other cities in the county and can more closely monitor its 600 restaurants. PEORIA, AZ - An Amber Alert for a 2-year-old girl abducted from Peoria Monday morning has been canceled after the girl was found safe several hours later. According to Peoria police, Khaleesi Morales was taken by her non-custodial father, 32-year-old Luis Jesus Morales, around 6 a.m. from a residence near Lake Pleasant and Beardsley roads.Luis is the defendant on an Order or Protection not to have contact with the girl or her mother. According to officials, Luis was arrested and booked into jail by Peoria police Sunday night after violating that Order of Protection, but was released at 5:14 a.m. on Monday.Police said Luis went to the child's Peoria home Monday morning, opened a window, broke the screen out, stepped on his young son's hand and assaulted the mother before taking Khaleesi. He reportedly stole the mother's vehicle and headed southbound on Lake Pleasant Road. Police say there were several box knives in the stolen vehicle. An Amber Alert was issued around 8 a.m. Monday for Khaleesi.Around 1 p.m., police said the Peoria SWAT team was able to locate the girl and Luis at a business near 99th Avenue and Beardsley Road, just a short distance from where the toddler was abducted. Khaleesi was "safe and unharmed" and was asking for her mother. Luis was taken into custody without incident.Khaleesi was reunited with her mother at the Peoria Police Department Monday afternoon. Luis is being charged with kidnapping, burglary, aggravated assault, violation of a court order and auto theft. PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — Pinellas Park Detectives have arrested a maintenance worker for video voyeurism after they say he placed video recording devices above the ceiling tiles inside women's restrooms.John Gibbs, 49, of Largo, was arrested on Thursday evening and charged with 14 counts of Video Voyeurism.Detectives say the investigation began on March 2 when Pinellas Park Police were called to an office building located at 12360 66th Street North to investigate a suspicious incident in one of the women's restrooms inside the building.  During the initial investigation, officers located two separate video recording devices above the ceiling tiles inside two different women's restrooms.  After conducting a search of the recording devices, detectives observed video images of multiple women and two men who had been recorded using the restroom.During the investigation, detectives were able to identify Gibbs from images captured on the recording device, as being a maintenance worker for the office building.  Over the last several days, detectives worked to identify victims on the videos.  So far, 14 different victims have been identified. However, several more victims remain unidentified, according to police.Detectives have notified the office building management of their findings. Police say that the office building management has since notified the 60 different small businesses inside the building where the common restrooms are located.Police say that they believe Gibbs had been recording such videos since the beginning of February 2018, before being discovered. The investigation is ongoing as detectives continue to identify other victims. Our cars remain grounded, and we're assisting local, state and federal authorities in any way we can.”As a result of the crash, the National Transportation and Safety Board is investigating. Uber also announced the suspension of its testing on self-driving vehicles in Arizona, as well as other cities.Authorities said the vehicle was in autonomous mode at the time of the crash.
