OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV) -- A bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Oceanside Wednesday afternoon. According to the Oceanside Police Department, the crash happened around 4:18 on State Route 76 at Old Grove. When officers arrived, they found the man lying in the street. He was taken to the hospital with a serious head injury. (KGTV) - A message threatening African-Americans was found in a men’s bathroom at MiraCosta College in Oceanside, college police said Friday.The discovery was made Thursday afternoon in a stall of the restroom on the second floor of the Oceanside campus library, according to police. The exact nature of the threat was not released.College Police, Oceanside Police and the FBI received the report of a hate crime, officials said. The subject of the crime is unknown.Police are asking for anyone with information to call 760-795-6640. For those who still want to go abroad, things will likely look very different.Carol Bryant, a travel advisor, just returned from a trip to Mexico.“I went for a few reasons. One, because I love it down there. I've been going there for years,” Bryant said. “I also wanted to see what it was like, so I could tell people what my experience was.”Mexico is one of the few countries currently allowing Americans in without restrictions.“I felt safer there than I feel here," Bryant said. "I think it was a much more consistent enforcement. One of those restrictions includes being in self-quarantine for two weeks upon arrival.“They haven't been checking it very much, so it hasn't been really as effective as they would've liked it to be,” said Ott, who has been a travel blogger since 2006. “There is a wide range," said Bryant of international restrictions. "Bahamas recently was going to start letting people in, and then they said, 'We will let you in, but you have to stay in a government-run facility at your own expense. OCEANSIDE (CNS) - Police responded to a reported shooting behind Oceanside High School early Saturday but weren't able to locate any potential suspects or victims, an officer said.Dispatchers received several calls around 2:30 a.m. reporting the sound of gunshots near the intersection of Division Street and Central Avenue, Oceanside Police Lt. Kedrick Sadler said. Officers headed to the scene and were able to find shell casings on the ground in the area, indicating a shooting had occurred, but couldn't find anyone associated with the incident, Sadler said.A vehicle reportedly was seen speeding from the area, but police could not provide a description. Investigators believe the shooting may be gang-related, Sadler said. 741
