UPS has reportedly told its drivers to stop picking up packages from several national retailers as they try to keep up with record-breaking online shopping this holiday season.Online shopping has seen record highs in 2020, as people heed public safety warnings during the coronavirus pandemic and avoid shopping in person.The National Retail Federation estimates online shopping during the five-day period including Black Friday and Cyber Monday jumped 44 percent. Adobe Analytics estimates online shopping on Thanksgiving and Black Friday were both up 22 percent compared to last year, and that Black Friday was the highest-grossing online shopping day in history. An internal memo at UPS, obtained by the Wall Street Journal, indicates the company placed temporary shipping restrictions on retailers like Nike, Gap, Macy’s, L.L. Bean and others. TULSA -- Dash cam video released Monday shows a man smash a Tulsa Police Department vehicle with a large pipe.Police said on Aug. 7 around 4 a.m., officers were dispatched to Brookhaven Hospital for a patient attempting to leave.The man was later found on I-244 eastbound.The man is seen smashing an officer's window. Police said Weinberger lived in the home where the homicide happened. Both men will booked into jail on charges related to the homicide. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A man was fatally shot at a Pacific Beach home early Saturday and police are now searching for three men reportedly seen leaving the scene in a stolen SUV.The 44-year-old man was shot at a home in the 2300 block of Wilbur Ave. sometime just before 2 a.m., according to San Diego Police. Neighbors reported gunshots in the area before police arrived and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound.First responders arrived to provide life-saving measures and the man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died of his injuries. His identity is known but had not been released until his family is notified.Police said three men in their 20s and 30s were seen leaving the man's home around the time gunfire rang out. There were several residents in the home and police believe the suspects fled in a white, 2015 Lexus RX350 SUV belonging to one of the residents. The vehicle's California license plate is 7NWK357. US investigators wiretapped former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort under secret court orders before and after the election, sources tell CNN, an extraordinary step involving a high-ranking campaign official now at the center of the Russia meddling probe.The government snooping continued into early this year, including a period when Manafort was known to talk to President Donald Trump.Some of the intelligence collected includes communications that sparked concerns among investigators that Manafort had encouraged the Russians to help with the campaign, according to three sources familiar with the investigation. Two of these sources, however, cautioned that the evidence is not conclusive.Special counsel Robert Mueller's team, which is leading the investigation into Russia's involvement in the election, has been provided details of these communications.A secret order authorized by the court that handles the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) began after Manafort became the subject of an FBI investigation that began in 2014. It centered on work done by a group of Washington consulting firms for Ukraine's former ruling party, the sources told CNN.The surveillance was discontinued at some point last year for lack of evidence, according to one of the sources.The FBI then restarted the surveillance after obtaining a new FISA warrant that extended at least into early this year.Sources say the second warrant was part of the FBI's efforts to investigate ties between Trump campaign associates and suspected Russian operatives. Such warrants require the approval of top Justice Department and FBI officials, and the FBI must provide the court with information showing suspicion that the subject of the warrant may be acting as an agent of a foreign power.It is unclear when the new warrant started. The FBI interest deepened last fall because of intercepted communications between Manafort and suspected Russian operatives, and among the Russians themselves, that reignited their interest in Manafort, the sources told CNN. As part of the FISA warrant, CNN has learned that earlier this year, the FBI conducted a search of a storage facility belonging to Manafort. It's not known what they found.The conversations between Manafort and Trump continued after the President took office, long after the FBI investigation into Manafort was publicly known, the sources told CNN. United Airlines is looking to add flights to their schedule in October, including resuming previously canceled trips and adding new ones.According to the airline, this will bring them up to flying 40 percent of their full schedule in October compared to October 2019. In September, they are only expecting to fly 34 percent of their full schedule.The news comes a week after the airline announced it will furlough more than 16,000 employees in October. That’s when federal bailout money from the federal government expires.The resumed flights include eight routes to Hawaii, “pending approval of the state’s pre-arrival COVID testing program.” Hawaii recently extended their out-of-state visitors ban to October 1. Once they allow visitors and tourists again, travelers must fill out a “safe travels” form and go through pandemic screening measures."We continue to be data-driven and realistic in our approach to rebuilding our network," Ankit Gupta, United's vice president of Domestic Network Planning said in a press release. "Because October is typically a slower month for leisure travel, we're adjusting our schedules to reflect these seasonal changes in customer demand while resuming service or adding capacity on routes where we're seeing increased customer demand for travel."Some of those “data-driven” decisions may have led United to realign their schedule to match “current demand for leisure travel.” The airline says in October they will add more flights on days popular with leisure travelers looking for a long weekend getaway, and will schedule fewer flights on days where demand is lower.Other changes and additions in October include:Resuming or starting new service on nearly 50 routes in the US; mostly from United’s hubs in Chicago, Denver and Houston.Resuming additional service to Florida and along the west coast.Resuming service to 14 international destinations, including parts of South America and Mexico.United was one of the airlines last week who announced they will be permanently eliminating change fees on flights within the US.
