SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One man is dead and three people have been detained for questioning after a reported shooting overnight in Paradise Hills.San Diego Police arrived at a home in the 6200 block of Childs Avenue just after 1 a.m. Saturday over reports of a shooting. Officers arrived to find a 20-year-old, later identified as Tyshawn Powell, lying in the driveway of the home and a family member performing CPR.Fire-Rescue arrived to continue life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.Police said the man had been shot at least once. Neighbors were interviewed about the reported gunshots in the area and as a result, an adult male and female, and a juvenile male were detained. According to police, Angelo Roshon Richardson Jr., 19, and Mikayla Ann Castillo, 18, as well as a 17-year-old were detained. Richardson was booked into jail for murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm while Castillo was booked into jail for being an accessory to murder. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department takes all allegations of misconduct very seriously.  As a result, an investigation is underway.  Mr. Miller is currently using accumulated leave time until his planned retirement date.  We cannot comment further based on the pending investigation." 686

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police believe the deaths in Otay Mesa Sunday of an elderly man and woman may be a murder-suicide.Police have identified the suspect and victim in the incident as James 82-year-old Rafferty and 83-year-old Kazuko Rafferty. Police believe James shot Kazuko several times and then used the same gun to take his own life. Dispatchers received a call about 10:30 a.m. requesting a welfare check on a married couple who lived at the Ocean Bluffs Mobile Home Park on Del Sol Blvd.Officers responded to the home and received no answer when they knocked on the door and made several phone calls. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are searching for a gunman after a teenager was shot Friday night outside of a movie theater in Escondido.The shooting happened around 8:50 p.m. at the Regal Cinema on West Valley Parkway in Escondido.Police say the victim was shot in the calf and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.The shooting is believed to be related to fight among a group of teenagers in the strip mall.They are now reviewing surveillance video in their investigation of the incident. 513

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police arrested a man Wednesday suspected of robbing a US Bank in North park before causing a major backup on I-5 in the South Bay. According to the FBI, Gustavo Torres, 32, was charged Thursday with one count of robbery. Torres is accused of robbing the US Bank on the 3200 block of University Avenue in North Park on August 7. Shortly after the robbery, San Diego Police were able to track down a suspect matching the bank robber’s description on Interstate 5 near Main Street in Chula Vista. Authorities shut down all lanes of southbound I-5 during the arrest, forcing traffic to a halt. According to the FBI, Torres is due in court for an arraignment on August 9. 696
