Two people were arrested on Friday and charged with endangering a child after overdosing and leaving a baby in a hot car in Canton.Stark County sheriff's deputies were dispatched after reports of two people lying on the ground from a possible overdose. When the first deputy arrived on the scene, a man, Cody Powell, was lying on the ground on his back. He appeared to be pale, was turning blue and was not breathing, according to the deputy's report. A woman, Michelle Hall, was lying on top of him by his legs.According to a witness who was holding the baby, she said she was driving through the parking lot when she saw two people lying on the ground. When she went to check it out, she noticed there was a baby in the back seat sweating profusely, so she took the baby out of the car and gave her water, according to the report. (CNS) - Felony charges were filed Tuesday against a woman who allegedly tried to snatch NFL legend Joe Montana's 9-month-old granddaughter from a Malibu home.Sodsai Predpring Dalzell, 39, is set to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon in a Van Nuys courtroom on charges of attempted kidnapping and first-degree residential burglary with a person present, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.Montana flagged down deputies from the sheriff's Lost Hills station about 5 p.m. Saturday. He told them his 9-month-old grandchild had been sleeping in a playpen in the living room when an unknown woman entered the home in the 22100 block of Pacific Coast Highway, removed the baby and walked upstairs with the child in her arms."Mr. Montana and his wife Jennifer confronted the female, attempted to de-escalate the situation and asked for the suspect to give back their grandchild. A tussle ensued, and Mrs. Montana was able to safely pry the child out of the suspect's arms," according to a sheriff's statement.Deputies found Dalzell nearby and arrested her. (KGTV) - An unscheduled Veterans Day tribute played out at a cemetery in the North County.More than a week ago, local florist Jenelle Brinneman learned Valley Center's annual Veterans Day program had been canceled by COVID-19, including a ceremony at Valley Center Cemetery.She started raising money online and during her flower deliveries. In the end, she raised enough to place roses at the graves of hundreds of veterans."We have over 300 veterans that laid to rest here and we just wanted to make sure they are remembered," said Brinneman.Donors could nominate veterans for rose bouquets. One of those donors was the family of Robert Cronin, an Army veteran who fought in World War II in France and Germany. He passed away in 1992 at the age of 83."It means a lot to me to have him honored because he was a special part of our lives," said granddaughter Francesca Pappagallo.She says Cronin earned numerous medals, including the Legion of Merit for inventing a slide rule tool to increase the accuracy of cannons. Loved ones thought his rank was 'Colonel,' but after he passed away, a different truth emerged."They did a lot of research and he was actually a retired one-star General.
